Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A day of painting

I started in on painting right after my pancake breakfast.  The first coat went on great and dried fast.  It almost didn't need the second coat so it went on quick and easy.  I painted the closet door too.
Here are a few pictures of the loft.

Since the pictures, I've taken down the blue tape which is my favorite part of the job.  It then all looks so nice with that clean edge.  I am really happy with the color.
Next I have to put everything back in place.  The closet is packed full of things too. I'm going to be doing everything different in this room.  I have to much stuff up there and I'm going in with a garbage bag and a give away bag and really clean things out.  I mentioned before that I want to get some Ikea shelves with doors and really get things organized.  That will all start tomorrow.  I'll be posting pictures as things get done.

I was done upstairs by 2:45 and then I just felt like sitting down and reading so that is exactly what I did. :-)

Ken got home from the train show a little after 5.  Then we went out to Bertucci's for supper and had a salad and pizza.  We usually get a cheese pizza but tonight we got two toppings - caramelized onions and fire roasted peppers.

We stopped in Lowe's and Home Depot to look at outlet and switch plate covers for my new pink loft but didn't see anything that I liked.  I'm going to see if I can find any I like on line and just order them.  I'm off to do that now.

That's it for today.
Enjoy whats left of your Saturday.
Happyone :-)

You've had a productive day! White ceramic switch plates would look pretty -- or are you interested in some other color?

Oh I am rewarded for remembering to stop by. You must be all smiles. We want to see it all set up, too. Those flowers look perfect there.

I'm loving the pink! Pink is definitely a happy color and I think I might choose it for my own little bathroom!

I-LOVE-IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And am so proud of you, for going to be culling "stuff." You will feel so good, after you do. And especially after you get the neat storage you intend to get. And everything is sooooooooooo neat.

I know, when a project is in progress, neatness is not a necessity. But for me, the knowledge that neatness willllllllllll return after, is a joy. :-)

Wheeeeeeeeeeeeee! What a weekend project!

And oh wow! A pizza with carmalized onions and roasted peppers!!!!!!!!!!!! Deeeeeelicious!

When Vadalia Onions are out in the early spring, we get a big bag at his Rotary Club meeting. And I love to have him slow-cook Vidalia onions for a lonnnnnnnnnng time, thus making them all the sweeter, and putting them on a pizza!!! Yummmmm... :-)
