Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A clean closet and a morning walk

I didn't go through any more mementos yesterday while cleaning out the closet so I finally  managed to finish. :-)
Here is my nice neat looking closet.
The switch and outlet plates still have not come in the mail so the loft project isn't completely yet done.  Maybe today they will come.

I left at 7:30 on my walk this morning and the temperature was 19.  The sun was up and there was no breeze so it was quite nice.  I walked down the road to Gray Rock, took that to the end and then turned around and came back home.
Some of the sidewalks looked liked this.
And others still look like this.
So I was back and forth walking on sidewalks and the road.  I saw quite a few people out running, walking, and walking dogs.
I spotted a little chick-a-dee sitting on a branch.  They are such cute little things.
By the time I got home the temperature was up to 32 but lots of clouds had rolled in.
I walked 6.5 miles.

Supposed to be another warm day in the 40's.  I just might have to wash my car.  It has been quite a while since she was clean and shiny.

Not sure yet what I'll be doing the rest of the day.
Hope your day is happy and bright.
Happyone :-)

The closet is very nice and neat and your loft became very beautiful as well :)
Today we had 20 degrees below zero - I guess I have to wait a long time until I can do things like washing the car. I did not look forward to go outside this morning, but when I started walking it was very nice and I became warm.
Hope you have a happy weekend :)

The closet looks great. I always love the feeling of a clean closet.
We're supposed to be in the 60s tomorrow and I was thinking the same thing about my car. That is if my sciatica cooperates.
I like your quote today. I remember singing that with the kids when I was a Sunday School teacher.
Enjoy your weekend.

Well I worked in a closet and my downstairs den as well today. I still have too much stuff in both areas but at least it is neat and orderly. Moving all the cookbooks out and discarding a bunch of other books freed up some shelves and that allowed me to get a lot of yarn in bags, up off the floor and onto a shelf.

I still want to shed some more stuff. But enough for today. I am tired now.

Is there any chance that you would come to Tennessee and make closets look as good as yours?

WOW - you get the award for organization. Perhaps you'd enjoy cleaning some closets in CO?

Now I wonder what a chick-a-dee is...is it a bird?
Your cuboard looks very tidy, maybe it will inspire me to clean a cuboard out too!

I feel guilty for letting my cupboards get so cluttered--maybe this week...
Our snow is melting too--I am anxiously awaiting Spring! Have a lovely week!

That must feel really good to have that closet finished! Yes, going through all the mementos DOES slow one down, doesn't it?
