Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A change in dress

I met Ken at Joe's for lunch.  Always hard to find a parking place and some of the parking places still have snow piled in them.  That might be a problem for some, but not for Ken.  He just drove up on a pile of snow.  The picture doesn't really show how high the FJ is sitting up on the one side.  We sat by a window in the restaurant and watched all the people stop and take a look at it and smile as they walked by.
It was nice to take a break in the middle of the day and spend a little time with Ken.

I have decided not to wear the blue dress I bought the other week to the Gala on Saturday.  I tried it on with my new shoes and just didn't feel comfortable in it.  I think it is a bit too big so I decided to wear another dress that I already had.  I tried both dresses on for Ken and my old dress got more of a wow factor from Ken.  Yes, Aunt A and Vee, I will take pictures.  I'll be taking my camera to the Gala.  I never leave home without it.

After supper we went out and did a couple of errands.  Stopped at a couple of places looking for a clock for up in the loft.  Ended up finding one in Hobby Lobby of all places with pink on it.  I'll put it up tomorrow and take a picture.

The last few days I'm just having a cup of tea in the evening for my snack.  It wouldn't hurt to lose a pound or two before the gala.
I'm going to knit and watch another episode of Pillars of the Earth in just a bit.  We are starting the third and last disc.

I hope you day was a happy one.

Oh shoot! I was going to have some tea this evening instead of popcorn. Thanks for humoring the two of us. I can't believe that it's come to this. Ha!

I have been having green ever since I saw they had it in stock at the supermarket. I buy four to five packs just to make sure I never run out of it. The old dress is nice... I would have got it anytime... waiting for the gala pictures.... and that quote at the end is brilliant and witty.

I always think it's important to feel comfortable in what you wear and this dress will also look great with the shoes. How fun to have a gala to look forward to. There was a time when we were getting fancy clothes for various events on a regular basis. Not so much anymore.

Yes! Wear the one which feels best on you. And it doesn't hurt that Ken likes this one better, either! :-)

Now, is that black? All black? Of course black can be spectacular. Any dark color can. But it needs some sort of "bling" to show it off, ya' know. Do you have any "bling"? No I don't mean wild stuff, which you'd never choose. I mean some niceeeeeeeeeeeee "bling".

Please! Your Fashion Police need to know! How will you accessorize it?

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, with the black dress, how about if you run out and find a pair of bright RED heels, to wear with it????? The weather is fine now. You can look for shoes, from now, till the dance begins. :-)

Hair? Having it done, for the Gala? Hmmm... No, not a wild 'do'. I doubt you'd feel good in a wild 'do'. But......... Bet your hair dresser could do something cute and different, with all that hair you have. Hmmmmmm??? Does that sound fun?

Come on. Sure it does! ,-)

And don't forget...... Ahemmmm.... The main reason for all this *preparation*! Come on! Let's really get into this *preparation*! Just think of the smug smile you'll be wearing, all evening. Remember doing that, when we were younger? When we just KNEW we looked grrrrrrreat and any one seeing us, had to KNOW it too! Isn't it time to bring back that funnnnnnnn feeling????

And cam to the Gala! I was afraid to ask about this. But you are! Hoooray!!!!

Mmmm, do you Twitter? If you twitter, you could give us a running account of the evening!<-Kidding
I'm not asking for that. Just threw that in, to show that my other suggestions are really quite tame. -innocent smile- ,-)

Great that you could do that with the car!

I've been having a cup of ginger tea each night. Makes me feel so good.
