Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

The auction and a new ice cream flavor

We drove up to Westminster for the auction and parked in a muddy field.  We looked over all the items to be auctioned and really didn't see anything we just had to have. We stayed a couple of hours anyway because it was still fun to see all the stuff and watch others bidding.  So we had a cheap day out.

Stopped by a sick friends house and dropped off medicine and saltine crackers.  That's what she wanted.  She asked us to ring the door bell and to just leave it by the door.  Didn't want to expose us to what she had.  One of those stomach viruses that has you kneeling and sitting.

It's been a cloudy dreary day and it has just started to rain.  Supposed to turn to sleet and then snow with a few inches accumulation.  Doesn't too sound good for a morning walk.

Tonight we are going to watch another episode of Larkrise to Candleford.  It's the last in the second season.   Seasons three and four are made but not on Netflix yet so we will have to wait a while to see them.
Castle is on tonight too which I like so we have some good television viewing tonight.  Of course I'll be knitting while watching.

I tried a new flavor of ice cream yesterday and will have it again tonight.  It is called Chocolate Pretzel (bits of chocolate covered pretzel in white ice cream) and is VERY good.  Thanks Cheryl for the recommendation.

Hope your Monday was a happy day for you.

Nope, you are right. It doesn't sound like a good day for a walk or for knitting group. So it will be the treadmill and cleaning bathrooms for me.

Glad you liked the ice cream. I'm having Weis "house of blueberry cheesecake" ice cream right now. Also very yummy.

I am on the next to the final episode in Season Three. I hate to think that it's all going to be over in seven more episodes. Needless to say, I'm not going on any more viewing marathons preferring to savor them. Sorry about more snow tomorrow. We're going to miss this one, too. The good thing is that it'll melt fast.

Sorry about all the cold and wet weather, hope it will soon change for good.

Thanks for sharing.

Sweet of you, to bring things to a sick friend. And sweet of him/her, to not want to expose you! ;-)

It is so thoughtful of you to bring supplies to your sick friend and also nice of her to protect you from catching it.
I hope that weather veers off at the last minute as it doesn't sound too desirable about now.
Chocolate pretzel ice cream sounds dangerously good.

I've watched a few episodes of "Lark Rise to Candleford" and found it quite interesting.
