I cut my walk a bit short this morning and only walked 4.4 miles. It was mighty cold out there with a temperature of 8!!! Though my body was warm with all the layers, my toes were cold and so was my face. I had on a couple of turtleneck shirts and had them over my mouth so there was just my nose and cheeks exposed to the cold. I had put some vaseline on my face to protect it but it was still too cold. At least I got some walking in though and that makes me happy. I just walked around the neighborhood and didn't wander far so I would be close to come home when I got cold. If these cold temperatures continue I'm just going to have to move south!! :-)

I made myself some pancakes this morning. I added a small amount of mini chocolate chips to them and topped it off with a dollop of whipped cream. mmm mmm good!
Ken is out this morning but will be home for lunch. Then we are going to head out to Pennsylvania to Stoner's Auction. We will take the back way and enjoy the ride up there. Who knows what we will come home with. Always a fun time at at the auction.
Enjoy your Saturday.
Happyone :-)

South Central Texas is a mighty fine place to live. Even though at 27 this morning, we will most likely only have that about three or four times if that. Next week we return to our normal mid-60s during the day and 35-45 or more at night. Next month starts spring for us towards the end of the month!
I froze my face (literally) this week while skiing! It's just now healing. My son made chocolate chip pancakes this AM - yummy!
Yes I think I wouldn't have walked any further than absolutely necessary at 8 degrees. I don't know how you did it.
I love your quote - so true.
Brrr. I'm glad you didn't expose your skin to another 3 miles. Hope you had a fun trip today. What treasures did you find?
Oh, my grandchildren love choc chips in their pancakes and sometimes even butterscotch chips!
Have a great day at the auction tomorrow! Blessings!
Eight degree again tonight! This is really something, isn't it?
