Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Ice

Ice - the one thing that keeps me from walking and this morning everything is coated in it so no walk for me today. :-(

Usually on Tuesday morning I go to my knitting group but that was canceled because of the ice too.

I could have done some house work but decided to knit because that was what I was supposed to be doing anyway.  I read a little bit too.

Ken took the day off because of the ice, so he was home to drop me off this afternoon for my hair appointment.  At least that wasn't canceled.  One nice thing about getting my hair done is my friend Cheryl does it and we get a chance to catch up.

The weather was supposed to warm up early in the day but it didn't till later in the afternoon and then only to 34 but it did start things melting.  I'm hoping it stays above freezing tonight so it all doesn't freeze again during the night.

The usual evening at home and will have some more of the Welsh Cookies for my snack.

Thanks for all who sent good thoughts and prayers for my mom.  Tomorrow is the day.  I'm hoping it won't be too long before we will know the result of the test.

Hope it was a nice day in your part of the world.  I sure could use some sunshine and warm weather.
Happyone. :-)

Glad you could get out for your hair appointment - mine is tomorrow. I always think of reinventing myself when I talk with my young stylist!

I don't think there's anything worse than ice. I'm glad the two of you were able to stay home in the morning.

Positive thoughts and prayers for your Mom. I didn't realize the weather had turned so cold up your way. Hopefully, a warming trend is on its way.

If you can't go walking, knitting and Welsh cookies sound like a nice alternative.
I will say another prayer for your mom tonight.

It was great catching up with you today. As always. We went to Pei Wei. I had the Japanese Chile Ramon and loved it.

Please let me know about your mom. Hoping for the best news.

The weather here is better except for the cold winds that dull the sun's warmth. I have to go back and read your older posts...

It was a smart thing to not go out walking with all that ice.
I hope everything will be fine with your Mum.
