Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Centennial Surise Walkers

Another one of those cold windy mornings, but the sun was out so it was nice.  I didn't know the temperature this morning because of my broken thermometer.  I must remember to stop and buy a new one.  I only think about it in the morning.  The radio said the wind chill made it feel like 14.  I'm just  seeing a handful of people walking around the lake on these cold mornings and it is the same people.
There are usually just a few of the mallard ducks around the lake but today there was a whole bunch of them.  I stopped on one of the foot bridges to watch them.  It was funny to watch them go upside down in the water finding something to eat.  Lots of the geese as usual there as well.  All the other wildlife was hiding from me today.
One of the regular walkers around the lake handed me this invitation this morning.
I missed last years because we were on the cruise but I plan on stopping by this year on my walk around the lake.  It will be nice to meet more of the walkers.  It appears we even have a name.  I am happy to be one of the Centennial Sunrise Walkers. :-)  Such a nice thing for Shiraz and his wife to do.  I see him most days walking his dog.  His wife I've only seen a couple of times.
Today I walked 6.3 miles.

Here is another picture I took at the car show we went to on Saturday.
What a paint job huh?

Went out this morning to my Tuesday morning knitting group.  Then like most Tuesdays, afterwards stopped in at the library where a book was waiting for me on hold.  I picked up that and one more.  I returned three of them.  One I didn't read.  I started it and then realized I had already read it.

Back home to a late lunch and then I just did uneventful things around the house.
This day just seemed to fly by.
Now I'm just going to sit and read until Ken comes home from work.

Hope this was a happy day for you.
A smile from me to you.
Happyone :-)

How fun to find out you've been a member of a club all along! That's really cool that you'll be attending so you can enjoy some dog treats. LOL! No, really, those folks sound as if they know how to be excellent hosts. Did I miss your cruise last year? I think so...must visit your archives. Even your quiet days at home sound so pleasant...have a great evening!

Oh yes! I remember after a quick tour through the archives. The minute I saw your hairdo, I remembered that I had seen it before. Oh dear! That was fun. So you were actually cruising over Christmas. At least, they had a tree and lots of decorations for you...

I really enjoy your website and want to take a moment of your time to inquire about any guest posting opportunities that you may have on your blog. I've written an informational and educational article on the importance of early childhood education that I believe your readers of (http://lifeisgood-smile.blogspot.com) would be interested in.

Thank you in advance for your time and I look forward to hearing back from you.
