Still, it was a good walk and it always puts me right for the rest of the day.
I walked 6.2 miles.

I did wear a dress yesterday and yes Ken was surprised. I wore my short, red, long sleeve, turtle neck sweater dress. It is warm and very comfortable. There are lot of Mexican restaurants around here and we went to my favorite one and believe it or not I don't even know the name of it.
Kathy, it is the one you recommended across from Mars. I don't think I would have ever gone there if it wasn't for you so THANKS!!
After eating we decided to drive into Baltimore to see the 34th Street display of lights. Every year everyone on the street decorates their houses with LOTS of lights. The different houses have different themes to their decorating. People come from all around to see it. We've lived here for years and this is the first time we've ever gone. We drove by two times and then parked the car and walked up and down the street.
I took the following video standing in one place turning and made a complete circle.
The following pictures are just a few of the ones I took
while walking up and down the street.
while walking up and down the street.
Going on a weeknight was a very good idea. I'm sure the weekends have a lot more people there and the closer it gets to Christmas the more crowed it will become. It was nice to be able to walk along almost on our own.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I drove over to the shoe repair shop where I left my boots to have the heel replaced on Tuesday. The couple was just as nice as ever and I stayed and talked to them for a bit. They have been in this shop here just a few years but have had a shop for the last 41 years. I am very happy with the work done on my boots and they even polished them up and now they look brand new again. :-)
I baked a batch of chocolate chip cookies this afternoon. They are for Ken's work Christmas party which is sometime next week (during a work day). Though I didn't eat any cookies I ate a fair amount of cookie dough! I made them ahead and will put the cookies in the freezer. I have a few more batches to bake for other people and parties too and will bake more another day.
I finished reading another book of the cat series, The Cat Who Tailed a Thief by Lilian Jackson Braun. It is book number 20 of the series. The later ones aren't as good as the first ones, but I like the characters it is a light fun read.
Now I must be off to clean up the kitchen from the cookie mess. I will listen to an audio book while doing that and then I'll probably knit.
I know we just went out to eat yesterday, but hey it's Friday and I feel like a pizza pie! :-)
A very happy Friday to you all.
A smile from me to you.
Happyone :-)
Only Robinson Crusoe had everything
done by Friday.
Pizza "Pie" always makes me grin. Have I ever told you that and the reason why? Probably three times over.
What a wonderful celebratory street that one is. I'm going back to look at the video. I like the sign...you get underwear when you stop believing in Santa.
Your boots look great. Knowing you, you'll be finding something soon that needs fixin' so you can go back and visit at the shoe repair shop.
I bet you looked great in a red knit sweater dress! Enjoy your pie!
Vee, No you haven't. Just got back from eating that pizza pie and I did enjoy it!! :-)
Oh thanks fo rthe peak at the lights
so nice to see them
your boots look great
but don't eat cookie dough..they say yu can get sick eating it ???
Pizza...I guess that is your reward for walking 6 miles + a day!
Suz, I've been eating cookie dough my whole life - I haven't gotten sick from it yet! :-)
Those lights are beautiful!
One of my favorite memories as a child was licking the bowl when my Mom made cookies and cakes .... never once got sick .... and it was SOOOO FUN!
WOW!!! Some lighting display!!!
But you know what picture I want to see, please? You in your short, red, long sleeve, turtle neck sweater dress! Betcha' that would make a "Wow" pic too!
And let's see... Since it's short, did you have long, black, heeled boots to wear with it? If not, you should. Christmas is coming, you know! :-)
'Happy One' and 'Kerri', as to eating raw cookie dough, "back in the day"...
I'd be afraid of eating cookie dough now. Because in this day and age, I won't touch raw eggs. And Ch. Chip cookie dough must have raw egg in it.
Perhaps, you ought to think about this........? You have been lucky, so far? But.......?
AuntA, yes I was wearing black boots. I'm still eating the cookie dough, I'll take my chances! :-)
Hi Karen. Back among the living and trying to catch up on my favorite blogs. Loved the pictures and the movie.
We go down to see the lights every year, and every year they just amaze me!
I mean to see those lights every year, and every year I forget. So glad you posted the pics and the video for me :)
