The next time I need a new pair of walking shoes I'll just come to this tree here which grows shoes! :-) It is hard to tell from the picture but there are a pair of them hanging there.
A nice sunny morning for walking.

Giving Thanks Day Number 6
I am thankful for all the places I have for my morning walks.
The lake and all the paths throughout the neighborhoods are very well maintained and I am so lucky to be able to walk on them each day.
I am thankful for the people I have met along these paths.
I am thankful that I am healthy and able to walk miles on them every day.
I am also thankful for having the desire to walk each day.
And I am thankful for the good feeling it gives me to walk.
:-)

I made pancakes with bananas for breakfast this morning. It's been a while since we've both been home for breakfast so it was a treat.
After lunch we are headed out to another auction. The first one we went to a few weeks ago was an estate auction at a house where we all walked around with the auctioneer. The second one we went to the week after was in a building and the things were all out on tables and again we walked around with the auctioneer. Today the auction will be another kind. This one is at the auction place itself where you sit in chairs and the things to be auctioned off are carried onto the stage and then you bid. The place we are going to is in Pennsylvania and is called Stoner's Auction. We have been there many times but haven't been there for a very long time. At one time we rented a booth in an antique center and we used to go the Stoner's to buy things to sell there.
I noticed that there will be some FiestaWare that I might have to bid on. There are three pieces that I would like. A red (orange) soup bowl, a 10" green plate, and a red (orange) juice cup.
Posting a bit earlier today than I usually do because I have no idea when we will be getting home tonight.
Enjoy your Saturday.
Though it is a bit chilly today, there is lots of sunshine.
Happyone :-)

It's always fun to see what one returns home with from an auction. I will be interested to know how the bidding went on the Fiestaware.
Ohhh... there must be some story behind that shoe i guess... how exciting!
Nice to visit auctions. I hope you get some good stuff!
On the slopes of the Breckenridge ski area, there is a bra tree and a necklace tree - no shoe tree, though. I see you've posted 6 things you're thankful for today - good! PS the Smashed Potato Soup sounds Yum.
Someone wants to start a shoe tree, which I think is awesome. Go here:

and read about several of them through-out America.
So nice to stop by and read about your activities. If shoes could talk...! A tree climber? A good toss? How did it get there. Quite a picture you posted. Have a great Sunday!
Good blog. I find it comforting here. I think that just about wraps it up! :>)
