Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

6 Miles

 Sunrise 6:38
Sunset 7:35
Just a normal 6 mile walk this morning on my connect the path route.  It was a cloudy warm morning.  Soon it will be dark out when I start walking.  Another reason not to like the end of summer.  A quiet walk, hardly anyone out and even the wildlife was scarce.  Just saw and heard birds.  First day off for the kids from school already.  Maybe that explains the quiet.  Some parents got to sleep in.
I took this picture while walking across one of the many wooden foot bridges.
We watched the first two episodes of Nurse Jackie last night (they are half hour shows) and we both thought it was just okay.  We will decided after watching the other two shows tonight if we want to watch more.  Carnival came in the mail from Netflix today.  That is another new show for us.

It's been cloudy and hot all day and I've been at home.  Got the downstairs cleaned and haven't done much of anything else.  I've been on the computer and now I'm off to knit and read.

Maybe we will go out somewhere for supper tonight because it is Friday. :-)
Hope all is well in your part of the world and that your Friday is a good one.
Happyone :-)

I had every intention of deliberate walking today. I worked hard this morning cutting grass out from around the lilac, and moving timbers and bricks. After that, and some non-walking exercise, I kind of lost interest. I'll try walking in place or dancing during the evening news.
Thanks for contacting me on WT!

Hot here today, too, and, after a day at "the home," I felt entitled to supper out. We went to a local restaurant and I was terribly disappointed. I'd have done better to have a fresh veggie wrap! You don't really walk when it's dark out, do you?

Vee, yes in the winter it is dark when I start walking at 6:30. I get to watch the sunrise most mornings. The other regular runners and walkers are out there too.

Yes, it's easy to see the changes taking place, isn't it?

I love your photo of the foot bridge with the leaves on it. It looks like fall and this year I am so ready for that season. Although, I do agree with you on the dark mornings :(.
Our weekend has been much cooler and no humidity. Hooray!!
Hope you enjoy the rest of the weekend.
