Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Starting on the loft

Yesterday I started on the loft.  I didn't get very far but at least I made a start.  I took everything out of the closet and I am going through everything and deciding if I should keep it or throw it out.  I ended up spending a lot of time looking through stuff and reminiscing.  I've made a bigger mess than I started out with but I have filled up two garbage bags of stuff so far.

I did only walk my usual 6 miles this morning.  I walked down one street, turned left, walked to the end and then turned around and came back.  I walked a route that I knew was just 6 miles so I wouldn't be tempted to walk longer.  It was a nice cool morning and I saw just a few others out.  Mostly runners.  Wildlife today consisted of squirrels, birds, rabbits, and a deer.

We went out for a bit this morning and did a couple of errands.  This afternoon Ken has taken my car over to the old house and is changing the oil in my car.  He has ramps that he built so it is easy to drive the car up on them and then change the oil.  Thanks Ken!!

I was back up in the loft earlier doing a bit more work and then made a couple of weave-it squares.
This evening we will go out for pizza which I'm really looking forward to.
Hope you are enjoying your Saturday.
Happyone :-)

Weave-It sounds like fun.
I have a set of hexagon "lap weaving" looms from years back (Love & Money Crafts company). I may just have to dig them out and make something. It's not real weaving, tho'.
You must be an organized person; I don't know how you find the time to do all you do and walk six miles daily.
More power to ya'.

It sounds like you are doing a very thorough job of cleaning your loft. I know that feeling of making a bigger mess than you started with. I always hit that point when I clean my closet. But, it sure does feel good when it's all done and everything looks so neat and organized.

Anita, I don't have to go out to work so I do have plenty of time. I also walk first thing in the morning so I'm back home around 8:00. :-)

Another happy day in your corner. I hate that initial "bigger mess than when you started" thing that happens. Good thing that it's only temporary, if one keeps going. Hope that you're enjoying your pizza even as I type this up.

Funny how cleaning something out leads onto bigger messes!
