Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Faith Brings Joy

Romans 5:1-5
Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith,
we have peace with God because of what
Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us.

Because of our faith, Christ has brought us
into this place of undeserved privilege where we now stand,
and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God’s glory.

We can rejoice, too,
when we run into problems and trials,
for we know that they help us develop endurance.

And endurance develops strength of character,
and character strengthens our
confident hope of salvation.

And this hope will not lead to disappointment.
For we know how dearly God loves us,
because he has given us the Holy Spirit
to fill our hearts with his love.

May you find joy on this Sunday.
Happyone :-)

I have been reading your blog for a few weeks now and I feel the need to tell you how much it inspired me. I have been walking 4 miles a day for the last 2 weeks. At first it felt like a tractor had run over my body but now I can feel the benefit it: I am much happier in myself. Today I took my husband, whose name is also Ken, for a 15 minute walk. Well, i's a beginning. Made the lemon cookies as well - we liked them. All the best.

Jagoda, I am so happy to hear that you are walking and that I have played a part in getting you to walk. You will feel better and better too! I've been taking a morning walk for the past 22 years.
Happy walking to you and Ken too. :-)
