After my walk this morning I was watering the flowers in front and a woman stopped by pushing the cutest little boy in a stroller. I've seen them walk by lots of times and assumed it was her grandson. She isn't the grandmother after all but the Nanny and she has been a nanny for quite a few years. She is on family number 14 now!! She says that every morning they stop by because Zackery likes to look at the flowers and watch the birds. I have a fake turtle sitting there too which he likes. She asked me if I minded them stopping. I said of course not!!! I'm just glad someone finds my little front garden pretty. :-)
Yesterday at my knitting group a few women were talking about a place they thought was a great restaurant called the Tomato Palace. I had never heard of it and on their recommendation Ken and I went there last night to check it out. We had pizza and it was pretty good. Not the best though and we probably won't go back for that, but maybe we'll try something else there some time. The nice part about the whole place was where it is located. It over looks a lake and you can eat outside on the patio looking out at the lake. We ate inside because it was very warm. But afterwards we sat in one of these benches and looked out over the water. Its only about two miles from home. I noticed it has a walking path around it. I could walk there from my house but I would have to cross a couple of busy streets. Maybe someday I'll drive over and walk around it.
Some areas got rain and thunder storms last night but we didn't get a drop of rain. The clouds were pretty spectacular looking and I took these standing by the front door.
Today I made birthday cards, packed up presents and got them ready for mailing for my two granddaughters whose birthdays are coming up.
A happy Wednesday to you!

Those clouds really are impressive and wonderful. Nice place for a restaurant ;>; sorry that the pizza wasn't up to snuff. It does look like another great walking spot for you.
We saw those clouds when were returning from a wine tasting at Iron Bridge. The clouds were magnificent!
Tomato Palace is owned by Clyde's (next door) where we are regulars. The path around Lake Kittamaqundi should be a really nice walk for you.
Your garden looks very beautiful. No wonder people stop by to enjoy it.
It's been very hot a humid here in Tennessee as well. I've got to water the roses again today.
