Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

It was 45 degrees when I started walking this morning. It was cloudy for a while but by the time I walked 4 miles the sun was shining through the trees. LOTS of deer out there this morning. I must have seen at least 15 of them throughout my walk. I didn't walk the lake today, but went on my connect the path route. I stopped on one of the wooden bridges to take this picture of the rabbit.I only saw 2 other people out on the paths. I walked my usual 6 miles. My mom and I talked two times on the phone while I was walking. I ended up sitting on my front porch talking to her. A nice way to start the day. :-)

I baked chocolate chip cookies this morning. My church is having an Easter Egg Hunt tomorrow and lots of us baked cookies for snacks to give to the kids. We put 2 cookies each in a snack bag. I made up 24 bags and had more than a dozen left over so I put them in a bigger bag. I then walked down to church to hand in my cookies. I gave the people who were working there the extra cookies which they were happy to get. :-) From there I walked to the Giant, picked up a couple of things there and then home again.

Another gorgeous day so back on the deck I was this afternoon for a while. I watched a couple of crows on top of a telephone pole for a while. One was really noisy and sounded more like a cat than a bird. I zoomed in with the camera and got these two pictures.
I was visited by a couple of wasps on the deck too. For a while I just sat there hoping they would just leave, but they didn't, so I got out the spray for wasps and chased them around the deck with that. They finally died after I had spray all over the place. Maybe that will keep more from coming back.

I did eventually get to knit for awhile out there too. :-)

This evening there was a musical program at church for Easter called Bow the Knee which Ken and I went see.

Home now to watch Netflix and some have some cookies and milk. :-)

Hope you had a great Friday.
Happyone :-)

Can just picture you running around your deck spraying the wasps! :)

Crows are so interesting...the only species of bird that actually 'plays'.

The cookies look great! Do you need my house number??? :)

Mmmm... cookies and milk. My husband just adores dunking them. I am not so keen on soggy cookies... lol.
The crows are captured are wonderfully and they do look like they are kissing in that second photo!♥

I have yet to see a flying insect here but I am sure that will come soon.

Hugs and kisses♥

Hi, this must have been a very nice day. I love the photo of the rabbit, it has the same color as some of my bunnies.
Your chocolate cookies looks very good :)
Happy Easter to you my friend.
