Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Another cloudy morning walk but it was a mild 50 degrees. The sun tried to break through the clouds but didn't quite make it during my walk. Later in the day we did see the sun. Today I walked straight down the road from my house, turned right and then went to the little pond and walked around that. Then it was the same two roads back home again. It's a good 6 mile walk.
There are wooden walkways around part of the pond.
I saw many birds there, Cardinals, Robins, a Downy Woodpecker and a lot of Red-Winged Black birds.
This is the best picture I could get of the Red-Winged Black bird.
It had been a long time since I walked this route and it was nice to see the little pond again.

I made pancakes for breakfast which I do most Saturday mornings. No more French toast for a while.

We went out and about and did a few errands. One of which was to go back to the outside furniture store again and buy the umbrella that we picked out a week or so ago. They didn't have the color we wanted at the store but it is in the warehouse and it will be waiting for us at the store on Monday for us to pick up.

While we were out we stopped at Subway for a sandwich. I had turkey with a slice of cheddar cheese, with spinach and cucumbers, a bit of mayonnaise and vinegar on wheat bread. Yummy, it was good.

Back home for the rest of the afternoon and then out we went again. This time to eat pizza for supper. A lot better than the Thai food from a few days ago. :-) I was surprised to hear that so many of you don't like Thai food either!

We started watching a new series from HBO on Netflix last night called OZ and watched 2 episodes of it. It's from 1997 but I'd never heard of it before. Found out about on another Netflix disc. The show is set in a maximum security prison that focuses on prisoner rehabilitation set in a city called Emerald City. As you can imagine it is pretty violent and the language is pretty bad too but we still liked it. Rehabilitation of these guys doesn't seem to be working so well!!
Later this evening we are going to watch another episode.

Now I'm off to visit some of you! :-)

Hope your Saturday was terrific!
Happyone :-)

I think red winged black birds are so pretty. They come to my feeder every now and then.
I took a short walk this afternoon and it sure was warm! I'm not about to complain though.
Have a Happy Easter!

I like your-picture of the red-winged blackbird. We don't seem to have any of those around here -- at least I haven't seen any. I've seen OZ advertised, but have never seen it.
I hope you have a very happy Easter.

Nice pictures from your walk. We have lots of red-winged blackbirds that visit our feeders. I love hearing their call.

Sounds like your day was similar to ours. Sun was in and out and we had some rain, then it was nice again. Did some errands, ate at burger place, watched a Netflix movie. =)

Wishing you a blessed Easter!

I haven't had much Thai food but I sure love pizza. I get jealous every time you say you are going for pizza because I've been on the Atkins diet. lol
