Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

The snow plow arrived this morning about 9:00. Here it is coming down the road in front of our house. Today was a nice sunny day and everyone was outside digging out of the snow.
We got out and went for a ride to see how the roads were. Most main roads had at least one lane that was good. Another story for the side roads. Most are pretty bad and in some housing developments the plow hasn't even been down their road yet. In some places residents got together and were shoveling out their STREETS.

Back home we have a huge mountain of snow in front of half our driveway. We shoveled just enough for Ken to get out. I won't be going anywhere in my car for a while!
Here I am climbing up the mountain.King of the Mountain.Ken and our neighbor Robert have a chat.

Ken thought the bathroom upstairs could use some better lightening so while we were out we went to Home Depot and got some lights and also a mirror. He installed the new lights and hung up the mirror while I did a little knitting.

Later we are going to make pizza and we will eat pizza while we watch the super bowl.

A happy Sunday to you.
Share your smile,

That's one impressive snow hill! Be sure to let us know when it's gone. I say that in a week, it'll be mostly gone or all gone. Is that too optimistic?

What a snow! I've had a lot of fun and I'm so sore from shoveling. In a good way. We shoveled out our street with the help of a neighbor's big deal snow blower. We hardly ever get plowed around here. I drove to Pizza Bolis for pizza and am settled in for the commercials.

We shoveled until everyone on the cul de sac's driveway was clear. Boy, are we all tired!
I made falafel for our Super Bowl meal.
I was wondering if you'd share your recipe for choc chip cookies with me? Please?

Looks like you were sliding down that hill from the looks of your backside :-) Or someone was throwing snowballs!!

We haven't had snow like that since I was a kid in Eastern Oregon. We used to get that kind of snow every winter. How times have changed.

Enjoy the beauty.

I think it will take awhile for all that snow to melt! You look like Queen of the Mountain.

It looks like you are 'enjoying' all the snow we missed out on this winter!

Makes the snow we had look rather piddly but we are just not set up for snow as it may happen only once in 5 years.
The quote put a smile on my face when I read it, it's good to be positive.
Keep warm.

Been a snowy winter here as well, actually in the past 12 months I would guess we have gotten 50 inches of snow here, compared to about 3 inches in the preceeding five years. If this last storm hadn't changed to rain for about 12 hours before changing back to snow, we would have had 30 inches of the white stuff.

That certainly is a lot of snow! I'm glad you were able to get out even if it will be a while before you can get your car out.

By the size of that snow "mountain," it's a good thing you like to walk. That is just tooooooooooo much snow! Thank goodness the sun is out and your sky is blue again.

I'm glad to see that "The King of The Mountain" didn't let a little bit of snow hold her down. LOL.
Now seriously, that is one big bunch of snow you got there.
Hope you enjoyed your pizza and the Super Bowl too.
