The sun is out today and some of the snow is starting to melt. Of course no walking again for me but I got lots of exercise. I did a little over an hour on the Wii again and then I went outside to shovel snow. It was nice to get outside in the fresh air and sunshine.
But I cleaned it up a bit.
Couldn't get down to the cement
because the FJ had driven over it quite a few times
and it was pretty well packed. Shoveled the stoop and steps out front
and the sidewalk in front of my house.
I don't know why but I just like this picture. I took this picture of this monster icicle

I no sooner got back in the house and a bucket loader came and tried to push the huge mountain of snow back farther and managed to put more snow in my driveway again. Back outside for some more shoveling. I know I burned lots of calories today! :-)Yesterday I knitted Ken a new hat but it was way too small so today I ripped it out and started another one for him.
I got an email from Jen, a neighbor at the old house that we still haven't sold. (waiting for the house market to improve) She told me that our carport roof caved in because of all the snow. I guess the slate on the fireplace wall will have to be put off again this weekend while we deal with the carport.
Ken came home from work and said come on, I'm taking you out!! Oh I love those words. :-) Off we went for a Greek salad and pizza.
This evening I had ice cream for my snack - my second favorite kind, Chocolate Cookies and Cream Supreme.
The rest of the evening I'll be working on Ken's hat.

Hi Dear Karen,
I just loved the pictures of the staircase. It is a good getaway treat... I would imagine myself listening to songs and writing my diary there away from everyone. And the picture of the icicle from your bedroom window has come out really beautifully.
Oh you poor things! At least, you've been documenting it beautifully. You'll be all ready for the next one, right? Up here in the tundra, we are just shaking our heads (and trying not to chortle too loudly because we know it's a pain in the keister). Take care of yourselves and don't overdo with the shoveling.
That is one big icicle! It looks like you did a wonderful job shoveling snow -- too bad you had to do the driveway twice! I was sorry to hear about your carport.
i enjoy reading your blog. the picture of the steps being so clear reminded me of spring. i like all of the positive things that you share. i got to reading your blog from reading a comments from andrews blog. i hope that you have a good weekend. i really like greek salads and pizza. i think i am going to have pizza tonight, i have been hungry for it. mom is picking me up some groceries today and pizza is one of the things that she was going to get. liz
Liz, Thank you and thanks for leaving a comment. Enjoy your pizza tonight! :-)
Those icicles are so neat looking. Yesterday, I suggested I take a broom and remove the ones hanging from our gutter. Dick 'pooh-poohed' me. Guess what he did today?!
Could you tutor me through changing my header? I have some garden pictures that I could post.
