Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Walked my 6 miles around the lake. Not as cold this morning so there wasn't much ice left. Not many people out but there is always less once the cold weather comes along. I was lucky to see the heron flying low over the lake again. I never get tired of seeing that. Just a few pictures I took while walking.

I baked some chocolate chip cookies to bring to Cheryl's Christmas Party on Saturday. Once again I ate some cookie dough but didn't eat any cookies.

I finished reading Swimsuit by James Patterson. It was fast paced and very good. It ends like he plans on writing a sequel to it. I read the large print book because it was the only one available. Actually it is pretty nice reading the large print. Thankfully my eyes are good and I don't need the large print but it sure is nice anyway.
This was book number 61 on my goal to read 75 books this year. If I don't make the 75 it will be pretty close.

I got a little more knitting done on the scarf this afternoon too. I'm just about done with only three more white strips to knit.

We are meeting some friends of ours for dinner up the road at Lee Lynn's at 5:30 and they just called saying they are going to be late. I hope they're not too late because I'm starving!! I'm sure it will be worth the wait.

I hope your Tuesday was a happy one.

It was a good day -- went to the dentist, ran errands, and came home and canned caponata and made dinner. Ended the day babysitting. Let's just say one of us is tired!

I make homemade cookies just for the cookie dough. I love raw brownies and cake too. Shame on us.

Great quote. And 75 books!? That's fantastic. Well done.

Your first photo is so pretty with that little bit of pink sky showing and reflecting into the water.
I am impressed with your reading goal. Way to go.
