I like this wooden walkway which takes me
to the little pond.
I walked the usual 6 miles. As I approached the pond all the mallard ducks started toward me. I guess they thought I had food for them. Once they realized I didn't they took off. At one point I stopped on a little wooden bridge and looked down at the stream, a little ways off I saw a heron standing in the water and a deer at the edge of the stream getting a drink. The heron spotted me and took off in flight right over the deers head. What a beautiful sight to see. It's great to see all the wildlife around me and at times its hard to believe that I live between two big cities. My friend Lin called me while I was walking so I had company on my walk today. :-)

Right after I got home the rain turned into snow.
I made Ken and I pancakes for breakfast this morning but today just put a little syrup and skipped the whipped cream. We both have gained a couple of pounds and need to cut out the extra stuff.
Library time again today to drop some books off that were due and to pick up a couple more.
The snow continued to come down and
here's a picture I took out of the library window.
Stopped at the yarn shop All About Yarn and bought some size 2 wooden needles that I needed and some pretty yarn to make more Preemie Hats. Of course there will be photos once I get one knitted.
A few snow picture while we were out driving.
A snowy house.
Sorry about the rain drops.
I took the picture out the side window.
It was nice to come back home into a nice warm, dry house. I did some knitting and reading.
Sorry about the rain drops.
I took the picture out the side window.
Afternoon Snow
We haven't decided what to have for supper yet. Either some left overs or go across the street and get some Chinese take- a- way.
I hope you enjoyed your Saturday.
Karen :-)
Oh! the snow, the beautiful snow,
Filling the sky and earth below,
Over the housetops, over the street,
Over the heads of the people you meet.
Dancing, Flirting, Skimming along.

Thankful you like the snow.
You have a beautiful area to walk.
Snow makes the world seem so quiet and peaceful, like a sift blanket that muffles the sounds. Lovely pictures of the snow.
The snow looks beautiful. We only get snow about once every 5 years so we have to travel to see it. Although we did get about 2 inches last Dec. and yesterday we had flurries so that was a surprise to have snow two years in a row!
Looks like you got quite a bit for your first snow of the season. Makes for beautiful scenery!
Dear Karen,
It looks so beautiful. It doesn't snow here where i stay. But i would love to have some snow. The pictures have come out so good.
As soon as I spotted the snow, I put on a pot of tomato-based zuppa di ceci (garbanzo bean soup)-- a favorite of ours and real comfort food!
Gorgeous pics of the beautiful snow!!
I was in Pennsylvania that day at a football game. The snow was beautiful but made for miserable game watching conditions. I got so cold, especially my hands and feet.
