Each morning when I open my eyes I say to myself;
I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today.
I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn’t arrived yet.
I have just one day, today, and I’m going to be happy in it.
~Groucho Marx

This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.

Luke 2:15 & 16

So it was, then the angels had gone away from them into heaven,
that the shepherds said to one another,
"Let us now go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has come to pass,
which the Lord has made known to us."

And they came with haste and found Mary and Joseph,
and the Babe lying in a manager.

In this busy time of shopping and getting ready for Christmas, lets not forget that Jesus is the reason we celebrate Christmas.

Enjoy your Sunday.
Karen :-)

  1. I really love the Nativity story in Luke. We really do need to keep the true meaning of Christmas in mind as we get busy with all our holiday activities. Thanks for the reminder.

  2. We have had 2 nativity plays at our Church this week and they are so lovely, the Christmas story is still so relevant. In the UK there are people who want to change the word Christmas to Wintermas and take Christ out of Christmas...well not in my house!

  3. Thanks for the reminder.

I love your blog, new friend, and I will be back.

    Have a happy week.
