A chilly walk this morning, but the sun was out and it was a perfect morning for a walk. I went around the lake again but this time I walked in the opposite direction that I usually do. Often there are a few fishermen scattered around the lake and today I saw one catch a fish. It was a little one and I saw him throw it back in. There was a bit of ice on the bridges and some frost on the grass here along the path.
It was a lot warmer by the time I got home.
My pedometer says I took 12,373 steps this morning which is 6 miles.

I spent the morning up in my loft. I did some reading and started another knitting project - another baby blanket this time with a cable in it. I'll take a picture when I more of it done.
It was knitting group night again at Panera's and I did a few more rows on my new project. I only got the first 6 rows done and then stopped because the next row has lots of counting in it and I knew I would be talking to much to follow the pattern. :-) I have met so many nice people and I really look forward to these Wednesday nights out. Today I met Diane who grew up in the same part of NJ that I did though not in the same town. She had relatives who lived in my town and she went swimming at the same pool I did and played in the same woods. We are also the same age. Small world!!
I started watching a mini series on DVD that I got out of the library called the Adams Chronicles. Its nice to be learning history and at the same time enjoying a good story. Tonight I finished up the first disc. I will get the next one at the library tomorrow.
I hope you enjoyed your Wednesday as much as I enjoyed mine.
Karen :-)
We would worry less about what others think of us
if we realized how seldom they do.

Karen,
I came via Kim's Happy@Home. I was attracted to your picture sitting on the steps, presumable your home?
I used to sit there during my childhood days and watched people passing by.
cheers.
Wow, frost and ice already! :( Glad it was warmer by the time you finished your walk. Sounds like it would have been a good morning for pancakes! :D
I'll bet that was a fun conversation with your new friend today, discussing the coincidences from your early lives. Isn't it interesting how lives intertwine?
Thank you Karen, I may be back blogging later :)
I like your blog too, and all your frirndly comments in my blog have made me happy.
RoyalT - Yes, that's my front stoop. :-)
Lindy - I made waffles this time!
Hey that's a beautiful picture there......they look like the glucose crystals i used to see under microscope during college.....
How nice to have 6 miles under your belt in the morning. That must be a good feeling.
We haven't seen any frost yet. Probably won't be long, though.
Interesting that you met a new friend with so many things in common.
The quote today is funny and so true.
We've been fortunate in that we haven't had frost yet, although places nearby have had frost several times.
