Each morning when I open my eyes I say to myself;
I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today.
I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn’t arrived yet.
I have just one day, today, and I’m going to be happy in it.
~Groucho Marx

This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.

I just got back from a rainy 6 mile morning walk. I woke up 6:45 old time so was out the door walking at 6:00 new time. I saw NO ONE out walking at all and only a few cars. I guess everyone was taking advantage of the time change and was sleeping in.
Isaiah 40:29 - 31

He gives strength to the weary,
and to him who lacks might He increases power.

Though youth grow weary and tired,
and vigorous young men stumble badly,

Yet those who wait for the Lord
Will gain new strength;
They will mount up with wings like eagles,
They will run and not get tired,
They will walk and not become weary.

If you seek God with all your heart, He will give you strength and make your path ahead clear for you.

Have a blessed Sunday.

  1. I enjoyed the pictures. Amazing! The colors of fall are hard to beat.

    It is wet and drizzly here as well. Not prime conditions for a walk.

    Hope you have a safe and blessed Sunday.

  2. It is almost 80 and sunny out. My son is doing his homework next to an open window. Very wonderful sunday here. Have great day.

  3. I will admit that I took advantage of the extra hour's sleep. But I'm glad you got out and had a good walk.

  4. I went for an early morning walk as well yesterday...while others seemed to be sleeping.

    Great fall colours in the previous post!
