Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A Psalm for Sunday

Psalm 84:5 & 6, and 11 & 12 5. Happy are those who are strong in the Lord, who want above all else to follow your steps. 6. When they walk through the valley of weeping it will become a place of springs where pools of blessing and refreshment collect after rains. 11. For Jehovah God is our Light and Protector. He gives us grace and glory. No good thing will he withhold from those who walk along his paths. 12. O Lord of the armies of heaven, blessed are those who trust in you.
Hope your Sunday is a sunny day. Happyone :-)

I really need to remember this when I'm feeling 'blue'. Thanks for sharing a great Psalm.

It is usually a sunny day for me HappyOne, especially when I am not at work. :) (glad to have a job though). I have been blogging lately about some people who have gone through some really tough times, and it has given me time to reflect about how well off I have it. Carpe diem! Art

My mother quoted verses 5 and 6 on many occasions. It was moving to find them here.

On a vastly different note: Yuca is a root plant that is a staple in many S. American Indian diets. It's really good steamed until tender and seasoned with herbs to compliment the meal. Very filling, too. I often cook it when my daughter-in-law and I are sharing a meal.
