Each morning when I open my eyes I say to myself;
I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today.
I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn’t arrived yet.
I have just one day, today, and I’m going to be happy in it.
~Groucho Marx

This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.
Psalm 118:24

A few Proverbs

This past week I have been reading Proverbs.
Here are a few I liked about talking.

Don't talk too much.
You keep putting your foot in your mouth.
Be sensible and turn off the flow.

Self-control means controlling the tongue!
A quick retort can ruin everything.

Kind words are like honey - enjoyable and healthful.

17:27 & 28
The man of few words and settled mind is wise;
therefore, even a fool is thought to be wise when he is silent.
It pays him to keep his mouth shut.

Any story sounds true until someone
tells the other side and sets the record straight.

Do you know any others?

A happy Sunday to you all.
Remember to smile - God loves you! :-)
Happyone :-)

  1. All good ones...my favorite is the last one. The first one makes me nervous in light of the fact that we'll be conversing soon. I've already told John that we should shut up and just listen. Ha!

  2. Are you packing up? I feel like I miss you already! Have a great trip. Post along the way!

  3. Yay! Your taking us on vacation with you! Pictures!

Hello my friend.
Thanks for stopping by.
I'm hoping you will leave a comment.
Thanks. : )
