Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Early morning walk

More rain last night but nice during the day. I got up a bit early today and decided to walk around the lake. I thought maybe there wouldn't be so many people there early. That was not the case as there were just as many if not more people. It was a nice walk though - cool with a slight breeze. I snapped this picture of the Canada geese just off the the side of the path. They are used to people and I had no trouble getting their picture. I didn't even get a hiss! :-)
I'm still seeing lots of bunny rabbits and quite a few young ones too - they look so tiny to be on their own already.
A chipmunk ran right across the path in front of me in another place. They are so cute!!

Stayed home today and got some housework done. Sat out on the deck and knitted and spent some time watching the cement trucks come and go. They finished pouring driveways for one of the new row of units and got most of the front walks done too.

This is the last day of class for Ken and he just called a little while ago saying he was on the way home. Should get here about 7:15. Then we are going to walk across the street and have a pizza. I am already hungry but it will be worth the wait.

Hope your day has been a
Happyone :-)

Don't think I could wait until 7 to eat dinner! But how great is that that you can walk to dinner and then walk back!!!

Wonderful quotes you are sharing lately...

Hope that your pizza was good. John and I shared a haddock box last night balancing it on our knees in the car while the rain poured down. One must find their pleasures somehow.
