Each morning when I open my eyes I say to myself;
I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today.
I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn’t arrived yet.
I have just one day, today, and I’m going to be happy in it.
~Groucho Marx

This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.

God's Gift

Another morning of walking in the rain. Surprisingly I saw quite a lot of other people out walking and running.

For this Sunday I chose a few Bible verses from the book of Matthew.

And Jesus said to his disciples,
"Truly I say to you, it is hard for a rich man
to enter the kingdom of heaven.

"And again I say to you, it is easier for a camel
to go through the eye of a needle,
than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God."

And when the disciples heard this,
they were very astonished and said,
"Then who can be saved?"

And looking upon them Jesus said to them,
"With men this is impossible,
but with God all things are possible."
Matthew 19:23-26

It is impossible for man to buy an entrance into heaven because our salvation cannot be bought or earned. It is a GIFT from God and all we have to do is believe.

For by grace you have been saved through faith;
and not of yourselves, it is the gift of God.
Ephesians 2:8

I have received the GIFT of salvation from God and I hope that you have too. :-)

Have a wonderful Sunday!
Happyone :-)

  1. It's the best word! Thank goodness that we don't have to buy it or we'd be sunk.

  2. Thanks for the beautiful words about God's beautiful gift.
