Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A psalm of thanks

I put on my rain gear and headed out the door for my morning walk in the misty rain. I saw a handful of cars but no one out walking or running - not even anyone walking a dog. Still, it was a great morning for walking and I walked 6.2 miles. It's the last day of the month and time to add up those miles that I walked each morning. During November I walked 182.4 miles and the total so far this year is 2067.4.
Of all the things I'm thankful for, knowing God's love is number one on my list!
Psalm 100 A psalm for giving thanks. Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness: Come before him with joyful songs. Know that the Lord is God. It is he who made us, And we are his. We are his people, the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving And his courts with praise. Give thanks to him and praise his name. For the Lord is good and is love endures forever; His faithfulness continues through all generations. May you have a blessed Sunday and remember God loves you!

So this makes me wonder, if you traveled due west, where you'd be right now! I admire your commitment to walking.

HappyOne - that is enough to walk most of the Appalachian Trail I think. But of course you got to sleep in a bed in between walks! :) That is great. You are one dedicated walking machine!

Keep walking, and keep happy! Art

You sure put me to shame when it comes to walking. I guess I'm going to have to get more serious. Thanks for the psalm.
