Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A bright blue sky

Good Monday Morning! After 3 days of rain it's so nice to see the sun and a bright blue sky. I took this in my back yard this morning when I got home from walking.
Friday evening we went to a concert at the Meyerhoff Symphony Hall in Baltimore to hear the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra. Though the musicians were very talented the music was not really my cup of tea. Too mellow and I thought a bit boring. I'd love to go back again but when they are playing different music. I did enjoy the night out and I loved our seats. We sat in a box and the chairs were actual chairs that moved and swiveled and were so comfortable - it was like sitting in a living room chair. They were great!!! A few years ago I delivered meals on wheels to a lady (I am sorry to say has died) who told me all about her daughter who played the cello in the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra. She always talked of her daughter with such pride. In the lobby of the hall there is one wall with all the pictures of all the musicians. I found the picture of her daughter Esther so I was able to pick her out playing her cello. I thought of Mrs M and proud she was of her. It would have been nice if I could have said hello to Esther.

Saturday was another rainy day and during the day we just did things around the house. Late afternoon we went out and drove past our town house lot. They haven't started building it yet but I'm sure it won't be long. I am hopeful each time we drive by that it will be started. We left there and went to the A.C. Moore craft store and looked around. Ken needed to get a couple of things for his glass class. We discovered another 5 Guys in the shopping center there and had some fries and burgers for supper.

Sunday Ken was gone for the day helping his friend with her tool inventory again. That should be the end of it now. I got lots done around the house. I started on my house cleaning for the week. Did some shredding which is always fun and baked some chocolate chip cookies.
I finished reading Fearless Fourteen by Janet Evanovich.
Enjoyed reading more adventures of the bounty hunter Stephanie Plum. All the characters in these books certainly are colorful!! Today I'm taking advantage of this sunny day and getting all my laundry done. I already have sheets and a load of darks blowing in the breeze out on the line. Have a happy Monday. I hope the sun is shining where you are too. :-)

Yes, the sun is great! It's out here, too, after three days of rain as well. Guess that we'll be getting even more rain toward week's end, but, for now, all is good.

Your seats at the symphony sounded wonderful. What were some of the selections that they played? I do hope that you get to return for a more rousing evening.

The sun is out and the day is warming up. It suppose to be in the 80's today yea!

Just a thought: maybe drop Esther a note c/o the symphony. I bet it would be a treat to hear how proud her mom was of her.

Hope your doing good!

I passed a farm house with laundry hanging on the line and thought of you and your neighbor. His laundry line is my screen saver. I love that picture.
