I must have needed some extra sleep last night because I woke up
at 6:15 and fell back asleep and didn't wake up till 7:45.
I had planned on going for a walk after lunch but never got around to it.
Today it stayed in the 20's and it snowed on and off all day but it
didn't amount to anything. Just had a dusting like someone
sprinkled icing sugar over everything. Nice that the wind died down.
We went out and did a couple of errands and stopped at Subway
along the lake and had lunch.
Took this picture out of the car window while Ken was in the
store getting our subs. We eat them in the car looking out over the water
and watching cars go by.
and watching cars go by.
This is the first year since we've been here that the lake didn't freeze over
for the winter. People are usually ice fishing and riding snow mobiles
over the ice at this time of year.
I baked an angel food cake and here it is cooling upside down
on a bottle. We will have a piece of it tonight for our snack with a bit of ice cream.
Worked on the puzzle again today and we should be finished in the next
day or so.
Read, did some ironing,
and got my steps in today walking around the house.

I came across some fun and interesting facts about money and thought
I'd share them with you for the next few days instead of the quotes I usually write.
I got them out of the Readers Digest in an article by Brandon Specktor.
- The U.S. paper money isn't made out of paper but is 75% cotton and 25% linen. In Benjamin Franklin's day, people repaired torn bills with a needle and thread.
- With a life span of about 4 1/2 years, the $10 bill is the shortest-lived note and the longest-living note is the $100 bill, which lasts about 15 years.
