Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Sunday

Can you believe it was 40 degrees here this morning?  It was cloudy but soon turned to a misty rain as I walked around the farm loop.  My walk was cut a wee bit short to 5 1/2 miles because I was getting wet.
A duck was standing near the edge of the road.  I usually see him on one of the farm ponds, but they are all frozen now.  He didn't seem afraid of me so I took his picture.
This isn't his pond but another one I pass.  I like the reflection from the trees in the water on top of the ice.
  ✞     ✞     ✞     ✞     ✞     ✞     ✞     ✞
For the Lord God is a sun and shield:
no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.
Psalm 84:11

A lot of people only look to God when they are sick or in need
but God wants to us to share our joy and happiness with him too.
He wants us to be near to Him every day.
We may never understand why some of our trails are sent our way,
until the time we meet Him in heaven.
Then we will see just how well God has taken care of us. : )

Have a blessed Sunday and don't forget to share your joy with God too.
happyone : )
You cannot always have happiness,
but you can always give happiness.

RK - There is a train show in Tomonium I think 4 times a year.  It is Howard Zane's show who is a friend of ours and Ken used to manage the show some years ago.

I also really like your quote for the day. Great pictures. So glad things have warmed up and you were able to get out and walk this morning. Enjoy the week ahead!

Hi, I'm watching the Big Super Bowl game AND the commercials with one eye --and blogging with the other. The lady who sang the National Anthem was AWESOME, best I've heard that song sung in YEARS... Wow!!!!

We have had a 'heat wave' this weekend also--but it's turning colder again tonight....Winter is not finished with us yet..

Hugs
Betsy

Amen to that quote. Your little duck friend didn't seem to mind your being there at all. Now you're a duck whisperer, too. Hope that Ken had a great time at the show and found all that he needs to work on his own project.
