Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

More rain

This morning as I walked into town it was only 34 degrees and still no sun.  It was cloudy and felt like rain but it stayed dry.

Walking down the hill I saw ten deer all race across the street in a row.  Then a little farther down the way a dozen or so wild turkeys flew low across the street.

It was a nice walk and I called Ken to come pick me up after walking 6.5 miles.

After breakfast I again stayed inside to straighten things up and Ken was outside working.  He works when I walk too.
When done with things inside I went outside to help.  Not that there was much for me to do but I got things for Ken and just help out where needed.

I wore those flannel lined jeans I bought since it was chilly out and they were so nice and warm.  I'm sure glad I had them and didn't even care that I looked 10 pounds fatter!! : )

Lunch was left over pizza from Brenda's last night.
Then back outside.  I was only out for few minutes when it started raining.  Ken stayed out but I went inside the trailer and knitted and read.
Ken started on the siding today.  He got a couple of corner pieces up and some of the J channel, but the rain kept him from putting the siding up.  There was actually snow mixed in with the rain.  Ken stayed out in the barn puttering around.

For supper tonight we went to Uno's.  It's fine having breakfast and lunch at the trailer but nice to go somewhere for supper.

On the way back to the trailer we're stopped at MacDonalds so I can post this.  Sorry I haven't been around to visit blogs but there is just not enough time.  I'll catch up when I get back home.
The weather has not been cooperating with us at all.  We have half of the day left here tomorrow, hopefully it will be a sunny morning.

Hope all is well in your part of the world.

A happy day to you.

That sounds like a full and enjoyable day, especially the walks.

The weather hasn't been so cooperative for you... I can just imagine how cozy you were in your flannel-lined jeans. Know how you think you're warm and then go inside and start shivering because you're not as warm as you thought you were? Now that might not happen to you.

All is very well, thank you, Karen.

It was chilly here today, too, but I can imagine how the mountains would feel. I bet those flannel-lined jeans felt wonderful!!

Chilly and wet day here as well. You did great to walk that far. Hang in there and enjoy "Happy Trails." Great name! Art

Sorry to hear that the weather hasn't cooperated for you. The fall colors there sure are pretty though. When you mentioned snow mixed in with the rain it made me wonder if you will continue to go work at Happy Trails into the winter.

You know how to fill your day, regardless of the rain! I love Uno's, but they have left our area.:(

There are no more Uno's in this state that I know of. My son worked at one when he was young and attending college.

It is to early for snow!

Love the colors at Happy Trails. We don't have much color here yet...

Cold here this week too, but not as cold as you are... We have had some rain also which makes it feel colder. We've had a fire in the fireplace all week... LOVE it.
Hugs,
Betsy
