Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Back to winter

Psalm 46: 1 - 3

1. God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

2. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed and
though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;

3. Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled,
though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof.  Selah.

Winter came back today.
This morning when I walked it was 22 degrees, windy and snowing.
Good news, no accumulation and though it stayed in the 30's
the sun came out and has been shining all day.

There were more than a dozen crock pots of chili at the chili cook off
at church today.  Mine had a few votes when we left.  Will get the results
of the winner at church tonight.

A happy day to you.
God Bless You.

We are back to winter too. Cold and it snowed a bit but melted by noon.
Good luck in the chili contest!

Yes ... we too have had a windy day, which somehow makes you pull your coat in tighter!

All the best Jan

PS Good luck with the chili

Same here! Cold weather after a warm week. Oh well.... A chili cook-off sounds like a great activity for the afternoon.

We got a cold chill back after such warm weather. Not too cold though. I could tolerate not having a jacket if I tried

Our cold weather came back last night too! From 81 degrees yesterday down to 35 last night. Hope your chili wins! :)

What a great day for chili! Your weather looks like ours . . . we had more snow yesterday, too. It didn't stay, but we still have older winter snow hanging on in areas of the yard and countryside. Hopefully March will bring with it warmer weather . . . In like a Lion and out like a Lamb.

Psalm 46 will always be special to me because it is the first experience I'd ever had where the. entire congregation memorized the entire Scripture portion together.

We had a few snow flurries yesterday morning, too, but like you no accumulation.

Looking forward to hearing how your chili cook off went yesterday!
