Each morning when I open my eyes I say to myself;
I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today.
I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn’t arrived yet.
I have just one day, today, and I’m going to be happy in it.

Back yard

The snow continued through the night and it was still coming down in the morning so I went down stairs to walk in the basement.  Listened to the third CD of Rose Harbor in Bloom and walked 5 1/2 miles.
While I was down there I did a load of laundry and hung it up in the drying room.

Worked on my counted cross stitch in the morning and also put a few pieces together on the puzzle.

After lunch the snow had pretty much stopped except for a few flurries once in a while.  We both went outside, Ken to clear the driveway with the snow blower and me with my shovel.
I walked up and down the road just to walk a little bit outside.
I took a couple of pictures in the back yard for a change.

Hope your Monday is a happy one.

Today's Three Thankful Things
  1.  Peanut butter and jelly sandwich
  2.  Left overs for supper, so I don't have to cook today
  3. To see the sun shine and a bit of blue sky if only for a few mintues

  2. Wow! You really have lots of snow! I'm missing a peanut butter and jelly sandwich! I have made myself eliminate wheat products, and it has been 2 1/2 months since I've had a sandwich.:)

  3. There is nothing more delicious than a peanut butter and jelly sandwich with a tall glass of milk. Yummo! Wonder how many trips around my wee basement I'd have to walk to work it off. I am intrigued by your winter weather and am wondering how long it will last...surely not beyond the middle of March.

  4. A peanut butter with apricot preserves sandwich sounds wonderful right now. I will put that on my menu this week.

Your photos get better and better. From you I've learned to appreciate nature so much more.
Hope you got your pellets for the stove.
