Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Thursday

54 degrees this morning for walking.
Foggy this morning and calm.
Sunrise 7:01

First walked up though town and back on the main road.
Some side streets and then over to the cemeteries.

A fogy walk around the cemetery.

After the cemeteries walked to the ball park, around there
and back to the pond where my walk ended.

By the time my walk was over the sun came up and chased
away the fog.

The only person I saw walked was Rebecca and it was
from a distance.  She didn't even see me.

🌫    🥾    🍁    ☀️

Left after breakfast to go to church for a morning of making
blankets for babies and now seniors too.
Pillows have been added to the mix for the seniors.
A small crowd this month.
Only 7 of us.
Filled the weave-it green pillow with poly fill.
I was thinking that they had pillow forms and that's why I made
it the size I did (18 x 22).
I like using the poly fill better because I can make the next
pillows any size I want.
This one seemed a tad too big so next pillow will be smaller.

I stopped by my friend Bettye's house to give her the colorful
blanket I made for her.
She loved it.

The yellow yarn I've been waiting for arrived in the mail today.
Now I can catch up knitting on the temperature blanket.

Ended up being a nice sunny day in the high 70's,
so had to spend some of the afternoon on the porch.
Off I go now to fix supper.
Having some of the left over meatloaf from yesterday
on a kaiser roll.
I did enjoy the rhubarb cobbler for my snack yesterday
and will be having that again tonight.

Thanks for stopping by.
Hope you enjoyed your day.

I always think fog makes photographs so atmospheric.
I'm sure Bettye was so pleased with the wonderful blanket you made for her.

All the best Jan

Karen, your picture of the spider web is amazing. I have trouble getting mine to show up. Your day sounds pleasant.

I love fog! I have fond memories of fog in San Francisco and on the coast which I always thought was soooooo romantic! But it’s very cold fog so snuggling is a must! ❤️

Wonderful foggy pictures. Poly fil is an easier solution to filling pillows. If you use the pillow forms you have to stick to that size.

I think you had a wonderful day! The fog in the cemetery is just a little bit spooky! I 1000% agree with Martin Luther King's quote.
