Started my walk in town at 6:25 and sunrise was 7:02
It was 54 degrees and once the sun was up it was sunny.
Went through town and up and down some side streets
on my way over to the industrial park and walked around in there.
Continued over to the ball park and around there.
Stopped to watched the chicks again.
Can't tell the little ones from the big one now.
When I got back to the pond I already had all of my steps.
RuthAnne was out walking her two dogs but she was up the
road and didn't see me.
☀️ ๐ ๐
Hung a load of laundry out on the line and finished up
the weekly house chores.
In the afternoon I went outside to work on a little project I'm making
with a little help from Ken.
Not finished yet, so no pictures.
A beautiful day and perfect for sitting out on the porch.

B IS FOR BOOKS
I've enjoyed books from the time I was a little girl.
I loved my Little Golden Books and my Mom told me
I took very good care of them.
She read them over and over to me and tells how she sometimes
would change the story around a bit and I would always say,
That's not how the story goes.
Since then I don't think I've ever been without a book to read.
I don't have as many books as I once did.
Got rid of a lot of them and only kept the books that I love and
would read again.
My most precious book and I read it every day is my
Bible.
I believe it is the inspired Holy Word of God.
II Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
I have both my grandmother's and mother's Bibles.
Thanks for stopping by.
Hope you Friday is happy one.

they are the most accessible and wisest of counselors,

...I remember Golden Books well!
The chicks have really grown ...
Lovely that you have both your grandmothers and mothers Bibles.
All the best Jan
Golden books were a big deal, back in the day. I had a few as a child. Chicks grow so fast, those will be full grown before you know it!
I buy my grandsons a book for their birthday and for Christmas♥My sister was a librarian and we just love books as well, Karen!
I liked all the little pictures that went around the back hard cover of the Golden Books. We love our books here and have way too many. How sweet to have your mom's and grandmother's Bibles. The Bible is the most worthwhile book we could own!
Your photos are lovely, Karen! Oh yes, Golden Books! And your mother's and grandmother's Bibles are great treasures.
Lovely photos, thanks for sharing this with us!.
I can't wait for winter time..
Blog de Bea- recomendaciones, animes, juegos & mรกs!.
The family bibles look in pretty good condition. I am so curious about your new project!
So, now I'm wondering about your project. I agree with you on the Bible. Having your mom and Grandma's Bible is wonderful.
Hello, my friend. I share your love of books. I cannot be without one. My mom used to tell me that I enjoyed being in the book world more than real life. : )
Hi Karen. Yes, I love books too! My mom read Little Golden Books to me too, and I now wish I had kept them. Yes, I agree with you about the Bible. It's wonderful that you have your mother and grandmother's Bible. Have a good weekend.
Love the first view and the chickens are cute.
I remember reading lots of Golden Books, going to the library was one of my favorite things to do. Have a great weekend.
As a child I loved Little Golden Books. I bought many of them for my children as well. Imagine my surprise when I went to buy some for my granddaughter and saw how expensive they had gotten.
I loved books too. From the little Books my gramma had to the Highlights magazine my parents gave me...plus the Scholastic books and others along the way I have read. I was always interesting in learning, plus books let me travel all over. Janice
What a lovely day you described! It sounds like the perfect mix of getting out for a walk and then enjoying some quiet time at home with your chores and a project.
I really connected with the part about books. It’s so special that you have Bibles from your grandmother and mother—that's a beautiful way to keep their memory close. I love that your mom would change the stories and you would call her out on it; that's too cute. I feel the same way—I always have a book with me to read, whether it’s for class or just for fun.
Thanks for sharing a bit about your life!

I just love to read, and have lots of books. I go to the library every week and usually bring home 3 books. Reading is the best pain management I've got!
That is wonderful that you have both your mother's and grandmother's bibles.
How fortunate you are to have both your grandmother's Bible and your mother's.
I've always been a reader too although I notice I read more slowly now.
That's a lotta chickens. Watch yourself! ๐
