Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Monday

It was a beautiful morning for walking today.
A mix of sun and clouds and 56 degrees.
Lots of people out walking.
Lena
RuthAnne with her dogs
Rebecca
Kerry
I asked Kerry if she won the $5 lately. Her friend and her have a
contest who walks the most miles per week.
She said her friend doesn't walk anymore.

Walked all around town first and dropped a book and a DVD
down the slot when I passed the library.
By the way we didn't like the movie 39 Steps.
Walked around the ball park a couple of times.

Then it was over to the cemeteries and walked around both of them.
Saw a rabbit there - haven't seen any rabbits in quite a while.
KitKat was roaming around the cemetery too.

Another delightful walk.

Monday and sheet washing day.
Got that load and another out on the line to dry.
Got a good start on the weekly house cleaning.

Still haven't gotten the yarn I ordered for my temperature
blanket I'm kitting - I'm now 11 days behind.
It won't be hard to catch up though.

I've been making weave-it squares for the green and white pillow.
I sat out on the front porch and made 5 of them this afternoon.
Only have 4 more to do and will make them later.
I'm curious to see how the pillow form fits and what the pillow will look like.

 That's all for today.
Happy Monday.
Thanks for stopping by.
❤️ HappyK 🤗

Beautiful scenes on your walk. I missed mine this morning due to appointments/errands. It makes my whole day feel off if I don't get it done in the morning!

Did you watch the 39 Steps made in the 1930's or the one in 1959?
I like all the fluffy little clouds in your sky. Our temperatures were much the same I noticed.

Sounds like it was the perfect day for walking.

Love today's photos! I see a little color breaking out.
Kerry's friend didn't keep up for long. Maybe she kept losing money.

Pretty morning photos of your walk. I don’t believe I have ever seen the movie 39 steps. All I know is it was an Alfred Hitchcock movie and my sister was in the play, 39 Steps in HS. I’m sure I attended the play - just don’t remember.
I agree with Mari - maybe the friend kept losing money. 💰

My favorite is the photo with the yellow tree! I wonder why Kerry's friend made that challenge, then stopped walking...

Hi Karen. Looks like fall is coming to your town. I love the beautiful orange and gold leaves. Maybe Kerry's friend couldn't afford to walk anymore. ;-) Glad you had another good day. See you again soon!

Lovely pictures! I haven’t been able to take a real walk in a long time. I hurt my knee in December, and then I had a fall a few months ago and my back has not recovered.

I'm also hanging my bedding in the late summer breeze.
I hope you get your yarn soon.
Viola wishes you happy walks.

I am so glad you are able to continue walking like you do. I got hit with this inflammation thing back in January and have not been able to walk -can hardly hobble at this point. Waiting to get on a new med that I am hoping helps. I used to walk at least 3 miles every day. I miss hanging out laundry. Can't do that here. Hope you have a wonderful week. xo Diana

Loving the photos. We have many squirrels here storing up their food for the Winter. Janice

Love the cloud picture, Karen. And the Scripture from Hosea is so precious.

We've checked out DVD's this past week at the library and I need to pick up another one today. Hope your yarn comes soon.
