A mix of sun and clouds and 61 degrees this morning for walking.
A very random walk all over town in no particular route or order.
Some people out and about getting ready for the parade later this morning.
Fire engines all washed and shiny.
Joy was out walking this morning and we stopped to talk.
She walks later in the day so I don't see her very often anymore.
Rebecca was out walking too.
Nice to see the fountain in the pond up and flowing again.
The heron paid a rare visit to the pond.
Don't know if you can see it in the picture.
I walked around to the other side to try to get a better picture
but it flew away.
This is the last of the gravestones with the detailed pictures on them.

Ken got started with the cleaning of the garage.
I finished up this weeks house cleaning
and made macaroni salad.
This afternoon I finished making the weave-it baby blanket
for Liz's first grandbaby.
Now I'm knitting booties with the same yellow yarn to go with the blanket.
David and Liz both had to work today so it's just Ken and I.
We had grilled hamburgers and the macaroni salad I made this morning.
It's been a beautiful cool sunny day again.
Perfect weather for summer as far as I'm concerned.
Hope you enjoyed your day.
Thanks for stopping by.

...John died young! Karen, I hope that your 4th was a happy one!
ReplyDeleteHello dear Karen, yes, I can see the heron...he is on the right side of your photo! Lovely photos of your walk! I actually took a nice long walk today here in Montreal, I was so happy! The temperature was so comfortable, in the upper 60's to low 70's, and I love my walks! In my future blog posts you will see photos that I took on this very long walk today, I was so happy to be out and about and to play with my cellphone camera. I had a wonderful time! Thank God for the cooler and comfortable temperatures, because over the weekend up to around Tuesday it is going to be very hot and humid again, so I was glad to have some relief last night and today! :)
ReplyDeleteYour meal of hamburgers sounds delicious, dear friend. I was happy to see the fire engines in your photo as well, as ours in Montreal look quite different!
Thank you so much for sharing your life here, your walks and your photos! Warm hugs.
That's good the fountain in the pond is flowing again.
ReplyDeleteHappy 4th of July.
All the best Jan
Happy July 4th! Long may our flag wave. Janice
ReplyDeleteNice seeing all the flags and the fire trucks too.
ReplyDeleteGlad the fountain is working again. I do see the heron!
Glad you had a nice day!
I spotted the heron beside the pond. He seemed to resent having his picture taken.
ReplyDeleteI do see the heron! Wow, everyone has their flags out!
ReplyDeleteP.S. Stopped at the DG Market today. I always think of you when I do.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a nice relaxing day. I do see the heron!
ReplyDeleteHappy 4th of July and best wishes. God bless always.
ReplyDeleteA random walk is nice. Just going wherever your feet lead you.
ReplyDeleteI made macaroni salad as well. I haven't had it in a long time. It sure was tasty
Grilled hamburgers & homemade macaroni salad.... doesn't get more July 4th than that, HappyK! I love gravestones with etched pictures on them. This one is so pretty. Love, Andrea xoxo
ReplyDeleteSounds like a good relaxing 4th of July.
ReplyDeleteIt is nice to have the fountain working again and I see the heron.
Take care, have a wonderful weekend.
I saw the heron. Sounds like a peaceful Fourth of July. Didn’t your town have a parade or something? Did you go?
ReplyDeleteWe had an enjoyable time at my son’s home with the rest of our family.
I remember your red Corvette well. It said something about you!
ReplyDelete6i degrees! I am so jealous! Lovely walking weather.
ReplyDeleteI remember you making those weave-it blankets. I've forgotten what they look like. I'll have to see if I can find a post with a photo.
I hope you had a nice 4th of July. No parades here or fireworks. Did you watch fireworks there?
Karen, I found the pages of your weave-it baby blanket. So pretty! I also am intrigued by your temperature blanket. I researched them and considered doing one this year but chickened out! Maybe next year. Yours is so pretty and I love the colors.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your holiday weekend. All the photos of town look so festive! Hugs, Diane
