I've never done one. A marathon was enough for me!
Good luck with the hair, seems like a good idea. If you need any extra grey hair, let me know. Mine started turning grey in my 30's, I think. I have to admit when I get it cut, it always looks better because on me, shorter grey hair looks better than longer, scragglier grey hair. But age is just a number, and anyone who can walk as much as you should not be too concerned about their age, right?o2bhikinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15176667811267635358noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7583216711420632803.post-64400623287571207812015-10-01T21:28:36.997-04:002015-10-01T21:28:36.997-04:00You are the third blogger friend I know who has re...You are the third blogger friend I know who has recently decided to grow out the gray -- congratulations!! I think it's a very good thing. I've never known what it's like to cover up my hair cover (yet), but at some point it's a good thing to just be yourself ... my own opinion. But I do think gray or silver hair is very pretty! At our age, it's the beauty of a woman's smile, kindness, and humor that is her beauty, along with the twinkle in her eye :)M.K.https://www.blogger.com/profile/09205619221345704689noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7583216711420632803.post-70692131022395850892015-09-23T19:05:21.785-04:002015-09-23T19:05:21.785-04:00Oh I do remember that! She's looking great and I know that you will, too. And I very much doubt that you'll look ten years older. Nah! Not going to happen. Now at 51 (soon to be 52) I have wrestled with that decision myself but I'm not as brave as you just yet. You are a very young person on the inside and won't it be impressive for people to see a gray-haired lady walking miles and miles every day and being in the great shape that you are in?! That is awesome. I am not looking forward to winter. The bowling and Chinese food sounds like a great time with your friends. I have some gray hairs coming in but my hair seems to turn lighter when I spend a lot of time outside too. My grandmother had beautiful white hair. It definitely filled your day, and the Chinese restaurant outing means you didn't have to think about meal prep tonight. I have been grey for almost as many years as I was not. There were a few years that I kept - or tried to keep - it colored, but that didn't last long.:-) I'm not sure grey hair will actually make you look older. It may give you options for wearing some different colors. Good for you! I'm sure it will be much easier not having to keep up with the coloring. It seems like a never ending cycle. I hope you will take us along through the growing out process. You could lighten it little by little and then when you get closer to all gray, you can cut it and get rid of all the brown. You don't have to suffer through the stripe.
I think it is a very good decision. It was easier for me because I went gray prematurely. Trouble is Chuck already looks younger then me (he is 3 years older then me) so I am sure I would be mistaken for his mother! If and when Chuck gets greyer maybe I will stop colouring my hair. Yes, it is vanity!Cat Loverhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09504271572051737490noreply@blogger.com
