Wow! I'm so glad I didn't go. I only like small venues too. I've never been to Ram's Head Live, but I'd like to. You and Ken seem to have so much fun. I love how you just get up and Go!Cherylhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09605292489556502765noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7583216711420632803.post-8080327631389761802011-06-06T21:48:32.167-04:002011-06-06T21:48:32.167-04:00What a shame that the concert was such a let-down....What a shame that the concert was such a let-down. I would find all that you described very depressing, too, including the $50 for parking. Glad that things were looking up on Sunday. What a beautiful-sounding day all the way around.Veehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00618654361869856894noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7583216711420632803.post-86894433971835277962011-06-06T21:31:20.174-04:002011-06-06T21:31:20.174-04:00I guess concerts never change. I remember 30 year...I guess concerts never change. I remember 30 years ago at the Capitol Centre in Largo, Maryland, same actions and sights as you described, minus the people signing the songs. I think if the venue were different, you might like some country music, which is more like pop music I think. Blood, Sweat & Tears will be amazing, I'm sure. Love Harper's Ferry!! Again, it's been many years since I've been there, I think it was 1991, goodness, 20 years ago? So beautiful and preserved, where WV, MD, & VA come together, lots of history too.Noofyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05006035965295127899noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7583216711420632803.post-91534339244940175562011-06-06T20:29:11.571-04:002011-06-06T20:29:11.571-04:00My goodness, you really did have a busy weekend! ...My goodness, you really did have a busy weekend! Harpers Ferry was one of the places I used to take my mom when I moved back to Delaware. It was a little bit of a drive, but she loved it.

I stopped attending live concerts for big stars a while ago...I don't go for anything bigger than the little American Music Theater in Lancaster or the small venues in Wilmington. If it has to be held in Philly or Baltimore, it probably too big for my taste!Deb from WhatsInMyAttichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11126246734744950335noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7583216711420632803.post-77317174314907827582011-06-06T18:14:01.281-04:002011-06-06T18:14:01.281-04:00What a wonderful weekend. E...I haven't been to many concerts in my life. Even though we have a concert venue, near by. (Sadly, it began as a summer home for the NYC Ballet and Philadelphia Orchestra, but those things just don't bring in enough money... And the *concerts* have nearly taken over.)

Anyway, I fully believe you, about the drunk and disorderly stuff. -sigh- As you probably know, I'm a fan of "Band Of Horses." In following a fan blog of theirs, I've seen videos of way too much drunkenness, at their concerts. And the stupid behaviour which goes with it. :-(((((((

And it sickens me.

I'd love to have the opportunity to see "BoH" play live! LOVE TO. Never will. And to think that these young people, who can go see them, HAVE to get drunk and yucky, when they go. Well, it makes me more than mad. I haven't been to that blog, or seen videos of their tours, in quite a while. Bleahhh... I can listen to CD's and not have to see stupid people, look stupid, at live shows. :-(

Oooops, sorry for the rant. But you touched a nerve. :-)

~♥~Auntie sezzzzzz...https://www.blogger.com/profile/16170232476926222740noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7583216711420632803.post-33044523360335575872011-06-06T14:25:20.613-04:002011-06-06T14:25:20.613-04:00You did have a busy weekend! Too bad about the drunken ruckus at the concert - not my kind of venue either.Barbhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04984171407726520584noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7583216711420632803.post-12867545917260002012011-06-06T14:11:22.807-04:002011-06-06T14:11:22.807-04:00$50 to park and you still had to walk a mile?!?
Th...$50 to park and you still had to walk a mile?!?
That's awful. That whole evening sounded pretty awful. I'd much rather attend the concert at the Mexican restaurant. Sounds much more my speed.
Glad you still managed to have a nice weekend despite the concert.Happy@Homehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15748146424809856063noreply@blogger.com
