Green Shawl

When I got to town this morning the street lights were just turning off.
It was 63 degrees and a little foggy again but the sun wasn't far behind.
Sunrise 6:30

Walked up the hill to the school this time.

Across the street from the school is a farm pond.

Walked around the school and stopped to see the four sheep
that live here.

This one thought I had food and jumped up to see if I had any.

Went back down to town and continued over to the ball park and walked
around there a couple of time.
Continued on around town till I had all my steps in,
then headed back to the Jeep.

Very quiet around town early this Saturday morning
and didn't see any one else around.

☁️    🌤    🐑

Went to the library this morning for Needleworks.
People must have been busy today because only 4 of us were there
and one had to leave early.
Numbers don't matter though when you're with friends.

This is the green shawl I'm working on.
It is 22 inches wide.
When it's done it will be 60 inches long
but now it is only 16 inches.

This afternoon Ken was outside playing on his tractor
and I was doing some more weeding.

It was a nice sunny day but warm when working.
So afterwards we sat on the porch having a drink and cooling off.

A good day and for that I am thankful.
Hope you enjoyed your Saturday.
Thanks for stopping by.

Deb - The dump is about 5 miles or so from our house.  There are three in the area.
They are pick up refuse centers and the dumpsters get picked up and taken to the main dump which I'm not exactly sure where it is.  We have no set time we go and  go whenever we need to.

Mari - We don't have trash pickup at our house because we are too rural so have to go to the dump.  It costs $75 dollars for the whole year and no limit to the times you can go.

  4. I have just gotten caught up on your posts. I don't seem to be as regular with my blogging as I once was. Thank you for answering my question regarding your house cleaning schedule. I think that sounds like a good strategy and I may be trying it out around here soon.
I always smile at the different animal friends you see on your walks. So sweet.
That shawl is such a pretty color and pretty pattern.
    Have a wonderful weekend, Karen.

  5. Your area is so pretty! I love the countryside and the animals you get pictures of.
The pattern on the shawl is so pretty.
Your dump fees are very reasonable. We pay $55 every 3 months for trash pick up.
