Lost and found

Though it was a pretty warm morning for here at 72 degrees
it was cloudy and windy so that kept it cool.
Only one deer did I see on the way to town this morning.

I had a very random walk all over town without ever
walking around the cemeteries or ball park.

In the parking lot of the DG Market I found a nickel
and by the dentist a penny.
In the old days I could have bought a candy bar.🙂

I saw Rebecca walking and another woman walking
but too far away to say hi.

On my way here to the DG.
It's about a 1/2 mile down the road.

I've always like the look of this house.

A close up of the front door.

At times I thought for sure it would rain but it never did.

🌻    ☁️    🌻

Blankets for Babies morning at church so left after breakfast for that.
We make blankets for seniors now too.
Ken had work to do on the cutter which we use for Fingerprints.
To save an extra trip to church we went together.
There were 13 of us there today.

Ken couldn't find a part that he NEEDED to fix the cutter.
He thought he had put it in his tool bag, but though he looked through
it a few times couldn't find it.
He mentioned it to the ladies and we all prayed that he'd find it.
He checkout out the tool bag one more time and low and behold
there was the part in a side pocket of the tool bag
that he didn't even realize was there.
God answers small prayers too.  🙏🏻😊

David and Liz came over after work and we had the chili for supper.
🎈 Today is David's birthday. 🎈
Liz baked him a cheesecake 🎂 so we had birthday cake too.
Hard to believe he turned 53 today!!!

We've had periods of rain and sun all afternoon.

That's all I have for today.
Hope you had a wonderful day.
Thank's to all of you who take the time to read my blog each day.
A special thanks to all who leave comments.

  1. Hi Karen. My day isn't complete without reading your blog! David's birthday celebration sounds nice. It's so good that he and Liz could join you for dinner. That is a real answer to prayer. God answers them all - big and small! I hope you have a great Friday. See you then!

  4. Count me in too - I enjoy your post because you live in a beautiful small town that just
brings peace to my soul. I enjoy learning about other places around the country.
Now for people who live in your town, where do they go for work? Is it a long commute for them?

OH my, I certainly love their front door. Unique.

  5. I love this house! Especially the arch-shaped door with the unusual little windows on each side. And their flowers and wreath are just perfect for the house.

  6. A six cent candy bar...those were the days. 🫠

What a blessing that you ladies took the time to pray about the part for the cutter. That should be our first response, but I have to say it isn't always mine. Thank you for the reminder.

    Happy Birthday to David.

  15. Love the house you showed, especially the front door! I always pray about lost things, too. God is kind to hear small as well as large prayers, and it increases our faith to keep praying . . .
