A little chilly at first when I walked this morning.
33 degrees and even a little light frost.
But the sun was shining and there was no wind.
First walked down the main road towards home and back
and then around both of the cemeteries.
Next place the ball park loop.
Some of the chickens huddling together maybe to keep warm.
Continued over to the DG Market where I turned around,
walked back through town.
By this time it had warmed up to the 40's under bright blue skies.
Saw a couple of deer on my way to town.
No people walking around but did wave to people in cars and trucks
who wave to me each morning as they drive through town.

Got the sheets washed and hung up outside,
made French toast for breakfast and then we drove down to LaVale.
One stop was at Super Shoes.
Wanted some kind of open shoes to wear to church
and had a picture in my mind what I wanted.
Didn't hold much luck with finding what I wanted.
What a surprise when I walked into the store and right there in front
was the exact type of shoe I was hoping for.
Had my size, tried them on, and they were comfortable.
I bought two pair.
Just a slight difference in the two shoes.
While there I found a purse I liked too.
Home and a little reading and knitting.

Your new shoes are absolutely gorgeous!!! I have never seen chickens huddled like this! Reminds me of what penguins do in a blizzard. I love your photo of the large open field with the trees at the edge.

ReplyDeleteThose poor hens looked cold. I felt that way all day Monday when it stayed chilly and damp. Today is better.
Never thought about hens getting cold. Pretty soon the mornings will be warmer, they'll like that. :)
