Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A walk and a concert

Another nice cool morning just like yesterday for my walk.  I love these mornings.  I walked down to the end of Gray Rock and back home staying on the sidewalks today.  Haven't walked that route for some time.
The only wildlife out there were birds and squirrels.  Lots of people though for an early Saturday morning.  The reason - community yard sales.  I saw eight of them along the road I walked.  Just breezed right by them.  I didn't even want to see anything that I liked and wanted.
I walked 6.2 miles.

Just a quick early post today.  Have some things to do this morning and then we are off this afternoon for the rest of the day and into the evening.
A woman who Ken works with invited us to go to a music concert to see Kenny Chesney  at FedEx Field.  I am really not into country music so I have never even heard of him but it is something to do and should be a fun day.  The other singers there will be Uncle Kracker, Billy Currington, and Zac Brown.  I've never heard of any of them either.  Who knows I may learn to like country music today! : )

Have a very happy Saturday and enjoy your day, whatever your doing.
A smile from me to you.
Happyone : )

it's like saying bad things about my momma.

You used great willpower to zip right past the yard sales. I'm afraid I would have had to take a peek.
Kenny Chesney must have gone from Charlotte to Maryland. I was talking to my neighbor yesterday and she had just been to his concert on Thursday night. She said she enjoyed it. I'll be interested to see if you also enjoy it.
Great quote for your post today :).

Yes, this weather is quite delightful.

PROUD of you, for just walking right by garage sales. My View - All 'thrifting' is simply bringing home more *stuff.*

I've only gotten into Country Music, selectively. I liked Daryl Worley's music, for a while. Still like "Band of Horses." But 'BoH' is not strictly 'country,' I guess.

Just have fun! Why not? :-)

Don't mess with Dolly! I have learned to enjoy some country music. I really like all kinds of music except Rap. That I can't get into at all.

Walking past a yard sale takes determination. Do you ever plan to walk around visiting them? You could have a little flea market cart for hauling treasures home. (I see that I am in direct conflict with Aunt Amelia, but I think of thrifting as cheap, way cheap, therapy.)

I have no patience for yard sales, my Mom used to say it is other people's junk. I'm trying to cleanse my house of junk. To do that I pass the yard sales. I look forward to hearing what you thought of the concert. Country music has changed in the past decade, I think.
