Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Boat Show and painting

Another 6 mile walk this morning for me. I went down some paths and streets over by the school. Looked for Gertie again but didn't run into her. I haven't seen her for quite a while now. Hope all is well with her.
The sun coming up over the trees.
I saw a group of 7 deer all standing in a back yard along a path. It was too dark to take a picture.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I made pancakes for breakfast. I added strawberries to mine and Ken added a banana. We both passed on the whipped cream. Ate breakfast sitting at the counter for the first time. I don't know why we haven't done that before!! By the way we've been here at the town house for just over a year now!
After breakfast we went into Baltimore to see the boat show at the convention center. No intention of buying one, but it is fun to just go and look. Boats sure are expensive now a days!!!
I liked this one that looks like a tugboat.Sponge Bob was at the boat show too.Couldn't you just see me and Ken zooming around on one of these jet skies?
After we left the convention center we had lunch in a cute little pub across the street. It's the blue building on the corner.
Home for a short while and then back out to pick up some paint for the living room. I am really excited about getting the living room painted. Getting tired of looking at so much white.
We picked out a color called Cinnamon Apple for below the chair rail and a color called Wooden Bongo for above the chair rail.
Ken is doing the taping now as I write this and we will paint tomorrow.
Last night we watched the first episode from Netflix of The No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency and we'll watch the second one tonight. I thought it was very good and kept to the story in the book. Snacks will be ice cream.
All in all a great Saturday and hope yours was too.
Happyone :-)
Cheryl, this quote is for you! :-) Thanks!
The red jet ski looks like a perfect fit for you!
I like the names of your paint colors. Looking forward to seeing that project. =) I have the bug to paint our office. I think tearing down the desks and computers will be a bigger task than the painting, though! LOL!
Like the quote!
I hope that Cheryl frames that one. Yes, I can easily imagine you on a jet ski. I'm not quite as sure about Ken...a definite maybe.
I can totally picture you and Ken on jet skies. I mean, you guys drive Vettes!
Can't wait to see your place with the new paint. And the redecorated rooms. You don't mess around with projects.
I like the quote. I never realized how hard it is to find a good hairdresser. I've got a good one!
It certainly sounds as if you had a busy day, but I have to admit you look quite at home on that jet ski.
I was hoping to run and walk today but I am having a migraine, and am not feeling so good. Boat shows are fun. Yep, very expensive toys. I once had a sailboat, a 23 foot sloop, and sailed all over the coast of Southern Maine whenever I could for five years. Even a used boat is expensive, with all of the fees I had every year for storage, mooring, maintenance, etc. It sure was fun, though.
You really had a busy day. The boat show looked like a lot of fun. My daughter has a jet ski and she just loves riding it on Lake Hopatcong. My son went to the motorcycle show at the Javits Center in New York on Saturday.
Paint colors sound really nice, can't wait until you post a picture.
....and might I just say how GOOD you look sitting on that jet ski. I really can picture you two zipping around on a couple of those!!
Hope the rest of your weekend is a good one. If you want to see a really good movie....SECONDHAND LIONS with Robert Duvall and Michael Caine. I just LOVED it. It proves that a movie without gore, obscenities and nudity can be excellent. Let me know what you think if you look at it.
I love the tugboat, too. It would be hard to feel seasick on that! Good and heavy in the water!!!
We loved watching No1 Ladies detective Agency on tv. Only sorry that they didn't make more episodes.
