I've really enjoyed her books.dothttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12301223597410227516noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7583216711420632803.post-87163008011973551182012-08-16T07:16:33.488-04:002012-08-16T07:16:33.488-04:00Our smoke alarm was hard wired into the house OVER...Our smoke alarm was hard wired into the house OVER THE STAIR WELL! Making it very hard to change the battery every six months. We finally had an electrician come in and move it over 3 feet so that we could reach the darn thing without risking life and limb!

Retired Knitterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13662288640032813770noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7583216711420632803.post-48711335726620078632012-08-16T02:16:44.647-04:002012-08-16T02:16:44.647-04:00Our fire alarm is wired into the electricity but h...Our fire alarm is wired into the electricity but has a battery back up in case of power cuts but I can appreciate how annoying a constant beep must be! Didn't realize I have been away so long.
Those smoke alarms and CO2 detectors are so frustrating when they begin beeping. I have been known to put them in the garage until I can figure out how to shut them up :).
If you like the book by Kate Morton and can't get a copy of the Forgotten Garden, let me know and I will send you my copy when I'm done.
Thank you for your kind comments, Karen. So it would seem prudent of the manufacturer to make it possible for the battery to be easily exchanged. I might have taken a hammer to it. That's how those kinds of annoyances affect me these days. =D

Rain this morning and all day tomorrow... Yes, I read "The Distant Hours" and it wasssssssssssssssssssss something!!!! Yessss! Enjoy it when you get it.

And "The Forgotten Garden" one, I got in large print and he read it. Very intricate plot! And he enjoyed it.

KATE NORTON, a writer I have enjoyed and forgotten about. Shame on me! Thank you so much, for reminding me. I seeeee boooooks to put on hold, in my future!

Oh and the BEEP, BEEP, BEEP is something we recognize too. Has happened here, of course. But luckily, he got it fixed or whatever. But you had a much more weird time, with yours, than we did here. -giggggles-

Something like that, would drive me up a wall!!!!!!! Our Security System wall unit began making "Trouble On The Line" noises once and I told him to stop everything and make it stop! Sure can't ignore one of those smoke alarms for long. I never could figure out why they just aren't connected to the electricity with a battery for back up purposes only...in case you lost power. There is one packed away in one of the storage boxes belonging to my son in the basement. I'm not about to go through them all to find it but it's been beeping for over a year now. The dog won't go in the basement anymore. LOLGolden To Silver Valhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04585559845728927540noreply@blogger.com
