Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

The Farm Loop Walk

🌻     🌻
Left the house at 6:30 this morning and it was 56 degrees, no breeze and
once again it was nice to walk in the sunshine once it came up.
Haven't walked the Farm Loop for quite a while so headed up
around there this morning.

Saturday is a good day for walking the Farm Loop because there are
no school buses to pass me walking down the hill by the school where
there is no shoulder on side of the road.

Since I saw some critters and took pictures of them I decided
to link up with Eileen for her Saturday's Critters.
First I saw these chickens at one farm.
Down the road a bit I passed Farmer Bills place and saw
these geese and ducks in his farm pond.

And back in town Milo was sitting on the fence at the day care center.
Once I got back to town I walked around one of the cemeteries a couple
of times and then headed home.
It was another delightful 6 mile walk.
🌻     🌻
Ken was already up at the new house when I got back from walking.
I wanted to stay home and wash our car.
It sure was dirty and it took me just over two hours to get it
spick and span.
The water was black when I got done.
Inside got vacuumed, wiped down all surfaces and cleaned out the console.
(we sure collect a lot of junk in there)
Sure is nice to have a clean car again.
Next up is my car but the battery went dead over the winter
so that needs to be charged.  I've missed driving my car but
it just is not a winter car.

Ken came home for lunch and went back to the house after we ate.
My next job was getting old paint off an old door.
The door is for the pantry in the kitchen at the new house.
It will be painted blue and will have words painted on it.
Not sure of the exact words yet.

Also got a couple of loads of laundry washed and hung outside.
Nice to be able to hang the laundry out again.

I made one of my favorite suppers this evening,
It is quite messy to make and I have to clean the stove every time
I make it.  It is worth it though.

That's been my day.

I haven't seen chickens nearby in awhile. One person way up the street is the only house I know that has them.

Ah ... Thy will be done ... how often do we pray it and not mean it.

God bless you and yours.

I love walking on rural roads past animals! I have not been walking lately. Been in the garden doing spring clean up instead. I feel that it is a bit of exercise. :) I make a sweet and sour chicken, which is one of my families favorite dishes as well. The door for your pantry will be great!
hugs,
Jann

It is starting to look like springtime on your walk.
I think it is always such a good feeling to have a nice clean car. After all of your hard work, I hope the snow is done in your area. Speaking of cars, my son just bought a new (to him) car and it's a red corvette. Now when he pulls up I will think of you :).
Your pantry door plans sound interesting. Can't wait to see it.

Sounds as if you had a vey productive day on Saturday! The weather last week was just gorgeous, wasn't it? I enjoyed working in my flowers and being able to go outside without a jacket! Now we have this snow today. :-)
