Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A snowy day

The snow is back today.
⛄     ⛄
I waited till it was light out and then went for a nice snowy walk.
15 degrees (that was the high for the day) and a bit windy.
Good thing I was wearing my snow sneakers and ice grippers because there was
ice under the snow in places.
I walked around town trying to stay out of the way of the snow plows.
The main road was plowed but they were just getting to the side roads.
Walked around one of the cemeteries but the snow was too deep for my
snow sneakers at the other one.
I ended up walking quite a few times around the ball park loop
because I was out of the way there.
I'm on the second loop here.  Those are my footprints from the first loop.
Didn't get all 6 miles in today, just a bit under 4.
 ⛄     ⛄
I made us blueberry pancakes for breakfast.
That's always a nice treat.

It snowed pretty much all day but we did have a few peeks at
the sun for a couple of minutes here and there.
I'd rather have snow than rain though, at least the snow makes everything pretty.

We went out to do a couple of errands and then were home
in the afternoon.
Ken has been working on taking his train layout apart and packing it up.

I mostly worked on the latest puzzle and should have it done in a day or two.
That's been my day so far.

Count your blessings and have a happy day.

I love to read about your walks and know how good they must make you feel. I would love to see some snow, but it is really warm here.

After ten days I've only got the outer edges and one small patch of my puzzle done. I think it's going to take a year and a half!

Sounds like a cold day for a walk...but oh, what a beautiful world to walk in. Roger was always the pancake maker here...I miss that.
