Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A tiny post office

My morning walk today was in the mist and the temperature was 38 degrees.
It was my usual walk around town, the cemeteries, and the ball park loop.

Didn't see any people out walking but did see the usual people
in cars, trucks, and school buses who wave to me.
Pretty quiet around town for a Monday.

Walked 6 miles
🎈
The other day when we went to the falls and stopped at the tiny church,
there was also a tiny post office there too.
Inside there are 18 PO Boxes.
🎈
Baked the first batch of Chocolate chip cookies today for the kids
at Sunday school for next Sunday.

After lunch it was still drizzling and I walked over to the library.
Didn't get any more books out though, just wanted to talk to
Kim, one of the librarians.

I read a while this afternoon.

Don Williams is at our church every evening this week
doing his chalk drawings.  This is the 25the year he has come
to our church.
So we shall be going each evening to see him.
Will be leaving in a little while.
On the way home we will stop at Walmart to pick up a few things.
I'm looking forward to my ice cream this evening.

Make your day a good one.
A smile from me to you.
happyone 😊

I am thankful for ice cream.
My two favorites are Chocolate Chippeddy and Chocolate Chip Mint.
Next in line is chocolate.

My own post office is not much bigger! It is open for about 2 hours each day. Not sure how much longer it can hang on....

You know, I never thought about being thankful for ice cream, but I am. It is one of my favorite things. Have found Lemon Raspberry cheesecake ice cream in our little local grocery and love it! But, I have never met an ice cream I didn't like...I just like some more than others. LOL

Hi Karen - nice to be back in blog land! Glad to hear that everything is going well for you. I like ice cream too - had an ice cream bar tonight after dinner, in fact. Interesting little post office you found. Enjoy the coming week. I hope to be back to visit again soon!

A tiny Post Office by a tiny church. How many people are living in the town?

That is a tiny post office! Poppy brought home Eggnog ice cream yesterday. It's pretty good, but not my favorite.
