Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Inside and outside

🍁     🍁     🍁
This morning the temperature was 31 degrees with some low hanging clouds.
But once the sun popped over the mountain the sky was clear and blue.

Walked behind my house, through town and up Sale Barn a ways.
Back to the main road and down toward HT.
You can't miss this brightly colored mailbox!!
Back to town and around one of the cemeteries were I caught up with
Cathy and walked there with her.  After she left I walked up around
the other cemetery.
Saw a few Blue Jays around town again and the usual rabbits.

Walked 6.4 miles
🍁     🍁     🍁
Ken went up to house site and stayed working there all day with Ronnie.
Ronnie's helper never showed up so Ken took his place.

I stayed home and got some laundry washed and hung out on the line
and finished my house cleaning.
After lunch I went outside and weeded the front garden down
at the end of the driveway.  Also cut all the dead cone flowers
and daisies and all of the sunflowers in the front yard.
I planted some each week at the beginning of the season so had
sunflowers through the whole season.  I put sunflowers in the bird
feeders too and the birds planted them around too!!

It was a beautiful afternoon.
Temperature made it up to 62 and it was sunny.
After working 3 hours in the yard I sat in the swing
enjoying the day before going back in the house.

A smile from me to you.

Difficult times have helped me to understand better than before,
how infinitely rich and beautiful life is in every way,

are of no importance whatsoever."

I can feel the frosty air in your first photo but it is so beautiful I would get up to go walking in it!
