Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Clearing the Land

I went for my usual morning walk.
64 degrees and a light drizzle at times but mostly just cloudy.
Walked around town for my usual 6.2 mile walk.
🚜     🚜
Right after breakfast we drove up to Happy Trails to watch the
clearing of the land start.
We stayed ALL day watching and didn't do anything else!!
A few thunder storms passed but it didn't stop the work.
Rainy times I went and sat in the truck.

Pictures I took throughout the day.

Isn't this a neat big rock?   That's my foot on it.
I'm sure we will find a good use for it!!
Tomorrow the digging of the foundation starts and we will be there for that too.

That's it for today.
 A happy day to you.

It's my mum's birthday too. She's 77.
I hope you had a good walk. They're good photographs but you wouldn't put them up if they weren't. I'm busy watching Laurel and Hardy films. They are so funny. I'm in hysterics and I can't help myself. I think everyone should watch them.

How exciting, I'm glad you took lots of photos to be able to look back on. That was an interesting rock, like the base of an old tree trunk xx

Wow! Turn my back for a couple of days and the land is cleared, the foundation is about to be dug, and you've found Plymouth Rock!
